Wyze watch? Really?

So far it sounds like the cameras will not be viewable. The watch will have some limited use of some apps, but it is very limited.

I dont think they can give any assurances on that since everyones skin reacts to different materials differently, however this time (as opposed to the band) they are selling different straps and it looks like 2 of them are listed as leather.

I ordered one because it is only $27 with tax and SH. I already have an Apple Watch but Wyze watch is offering A LOT for $20.
Text, email, HR, O2 sat, wyze control, and sleep tracking??!!
I have to check this out.

That’s the thing, they price things like this cheap enough that they sell 10’s of thousands of them in a few hours. When a smart watch is sold at $19.99, it’s a price that the majority of those buyers won’t be expecting all that much and consider it a throwaway if it doesn’t last or work well.

Sure, there will be lots of complaints here on this forum, Reddit, and maybe the Facebook group, but it will be a drop in the bucket compared to the more than 43,000 units sold as of a few minutes ago when I looked. Same with the Wyze Band. I wonder how many of the total bands sold are actually still in every day use even though it hasn’t been all that long.

Now on the other side, Wyze could have real problems if a product like the new robot vacuum is plagued with problems, because that’s a lot more cash dropped on a product which will mean a lot less tolerance for failure to deliver what is advertised

Purchased the band. Now the watch. Yup, some duplicate functions. Giving the band to my son to use. No biggie.

Agree the band is not obsolete. the watch doesn’t have Alexa voice interaction, which I use a lot. Also I don’t want a big watch dial and the band is as small as it can get. So there is still a market for the band. Now if they add the O2 sensor to the band that would nice, but since they are selling the watch the chances are that they will discontinue the band and definitely don’t expect further enhancements?

I bought the Wyze band, but the screen was too small. I’d like a watch from Wyze, but I really need it to work with Fitbit. (family challenges, loads runs/rides to strava, etc)

Does anyone know if this will integrate to fitbit or strava? Does it have different exercises?

Currently using Garmin for long runs, but use Fitbit versa for treadmill, workouts, etc then load to strava. Just wondering if this larger-screen wyze watch could replace my Fitbit Versa.

Thanks!

Hey @Devlindj, it seems they plan to integrate Fitbit along with others, just no idea when. Watch FAQs

Is the Wyze Watch compatible with popular fitness apps (Google Fit, Apple Health, Samsung Health, Strava, Fitbit)?

Google Fit and Apple Health will be supported. We may explore other integrations in the future!

Don’t buy these devices based on future plans.

excellent thought. these daze devices are a moving target with features. i’ve come to accept that and get what is available to suit my needs at the time.

If it works as badly as 3 out of the 10 cameras we have, with no help from Wyze, I would go with another brand

I see watches and fitness bands as being different markets. Some people don’t like the size of the watches.

One thing I noted about these watches is they apparently allow different bands–that’s a nice feature.

Totally agree. Just got my v3 cam and can’t get it connected. It’s tempting to blame “cheap Chinese junk” but I think it’s more a lack of testing and quality control by Wyze. They rush to get products on the market to make money and beat out competition. It’s a gamble. I’m sitting on the sideline for the new products.

I have 4 Wyze Locks and 4 keypads. I highly recommend them. I had the August Locks and switched. I’m glad I did. Haven’t looked back one time.

I think I read that there isn’t GPS functionality on the watch.

Or there will be a Band v2 before long that includes those functions.

So does the watch support wireless charging and it comes with a charger lol???

Magnetic charger actually lol

Yup was just complaining about this the other day. Seems like a new piece of hardware every 2 months yet I am unable to do what I consider basic functions within the horribly organized app. I am told to either use third party software and create 2-5 different triggers that dont fully achieve my needs and still bug out. Almost daily I go “huh, why isnt that thing working?” Then I open the trigger, disable and re-enable it, and it works again. Different devices with different triggers too, its a really fun “smart” home setup!
