Is Wyze going to make a new Watch, or is that done with?

If they aren’t making new ones, any suggestions on a brand to try for my next cheap smart watch?

Edit: My needs are shows the time, customizable watch faces, can see who is calling and read texts from the phone. Everything else is gravy.

As an outsider, I don’t have anything near an official answer, but I would speculate that they’re not going to make any more, and I sincerely hope I’m wrong about that.

I wear my Watch 47 almost constantly (pretty much always except when it’s recharging), but it feels like an abandoned product because no firmware updates have been issued to fix lingering issues, and the product page has that “Final sale. Not eligible for exchange or return.” message. I really think that’s a shame, because I believe the Watch’s ability to control other devices within the Wyze ecosystem (touted on the same product page!) makes it truly unique in the marketplace and fits in with the “3 C’s” as referenced in another topic. I really like being able to launch Shortcuts from my wrist without grabbing and unlocking my phone.

I don’t have any suggestions for a possible replacement. I just hope mine will continue to last for as long as I want to keep using it.

Almost definitely not going to make a new one. The vp of product addressed this during an AMA and indicated they were unlikely to ever make another watch.

As for which watch to buy, I only use watches that support sleep as Android. So I’m biased… But it seems like the ticwatch pro 5 is among the best watches since it’s one of the only ones that exist that allow API access to the gyro/accelerometer, Heart rate, HRV, and spo2. I don’t think any other watch does that unless you’re going to be spending like $500+ for a top tier Garmin. Though some other watches track All those things, they just don’t allow api access to all of them at the same time.

I also like xiaomi and amazfit bands and watches for the budget type option.
