Wyze Watch Dying

I have had a Wyze watch since they first came out. I am on my second one and it is dying. Battery drain and double notifications. I am so disappointed that Wyze no longer makes these. Does anyone know of an inexpensive fitness tracker or fitness watch that allows Wyze notifications?

@carverofchoice do you know of any or a work around? I tried one fitness watch but couldn’t get Wyze notifications and that’s what I want the most.

I personally like my Pixel Watch 4, but you want inexpensive.

I remember hearing about this fitness tracker on a podcast. The specs says it gets smart notifications, so for under $20 might be worth a try. If it does not get notifications, maybe gift it to a family member.

Thank you!

I switched to this:

Excellent watch for the price. The Wyze notifications come through and even have a small thumbnail. Highly recommend.

Oh, thank you so much!!!

@krr1975 Sorry for the late reply (I was sleep-deprived and went to bed early). I agree with @Earl.Automation that Amazfit is a great option! I used several of their bands for a long time and they work pretty well. I like Amazfit. Depending on the model you get if you get one that is only showing you text, check some third-party middleware like “Notify for Amazfit” which usually allows a feature to extract images from notifications and send them to the watch/band.

Alternatively you could always look for a cheap 3rd party option that supports Wear OS. I have heard good results from people buying a Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 used or refurbished for pretty cheap. The downside is the battery life not lasting as long as you’re used to.

I was wondering were you were as you have always been so kind to respond and help me! I am so very excited about the Amazfit and so appreciate the recommendation from @Earl.Automation I’m already checking into getting one!

As I mentioned above, a Pixel Watch 4 is not inexpensive but does get Wyze Notifications with a thumbnail picture

Wow! Now that is a wonderful notification! Thank you!

I saw this deal on Woot if anyone is interested in an inexpensive Apple Watch. It’s an older model refurbished but I believe still get IOS updates.

Wow! Thanks Steven!

As far as models go, do you know if the Amazfit Active Fit 3 gives the wyze notifications? I have a work anniverary coming up and get up to a $150 personal gift and waws looking at this one to get but wanted to make sure I will get the Wyze notifications. As always, thanks for your help!

It’s been a while since I used an Amazfit now. Back when I did, I used 3rd party apps on my Android phone to push images to it. A popular one was “Notify for Amazfit & Zepp” which acts as an advanced notification proxy. It can grab notifications to the phone, including camera screenshots and then temporarily override your watch face to display the camera image as soon as motion is triggered.

But technically this is an unofficial workaround. I haven’t used in a few years now, so I can’t give you solid guarantees on anything, just tell you what I was doing in the past, and that was back when Wyze used static images, and they are now using dynamic previews that push rich and animated data packages to us as notifications. I haven’t tested this since it came out after I switched to use a wear OS device now.

Okay, thank you so much for the information!
