Can you add the SpaceX helmet as a screen option like on the band? Will you be adding the Alexa feature to the watch? Does this watch have a built-in microphone like the band? Will having both the band and the watch connected to the app at the same time create conflicts?
You can add any image you want to the screen face as long as the image comes from the gallery on your phone. Open the Wyze app and then open Wyze Watch 44. You should then see the Clock Face option and select Edit. There are a lot of preset faces to choose from but there is an option group called Photos that shows selections with black backgrounds and various configurations for the time and date. Select one and choose a font color. Then at the bottom under Backgrounds select “+” and choose an image (or take a new photo). You’ll then see a preview of how it will look on the screen face. Click Add. If you are wondering if Wyze would add the SpaceX helmet as a preset, our forum moderator @StopICU33 would be the best person to respond.
Watch 44 and 47 do not have a built-in microphone and therefore Alexa is not an available feature on either watch.
I have both Watch 44 and the band and both apps are active within my Wyze app. I’ve not had any conflicts however I’m not currently using the band. Even if I was, I still don’t think there would be any problem.
Thanks for your response. Yes, I’m wondering if Wyze will add the helmet as a preloaded image in an app update, like they did with the band. Apologies if I was unclear.
@kirk_fraley I’m unaware if Wyze has plans to add the SpaceX Helmet for a clock face image.
However, I recommend adding your request for the helmet image to the Wishlist topic below and VOTE at the top of thread.
Just for fun, I created a workaround that doesn’t look too bad. Your welcome to download the image below and add it to your Clock Face if you want to give it a try.
New user here. Not sure how to start a new question so I am using the ‘Reply’ option.
In Sports mode, when I start it and then press the button on the side, I see the red ‘Finish’ button and Green ‘Continue’ button. I understand these, but there is a ‘||Pause’ written on top left of the screen. How do I get the Pause to work? What does it do?
The “pause” you are referring to in the top left, is letting you know you have already paused the run by pushing the side button. So you don’t have do anything else because it’s only showing the status and indicating that it’s paused. To turn off the pause and resume, tap the green button to continue.
Yup. My watch 44 arrived today, and I’m immediately disappointed with the vibration intensity. You can barely feel it for notifications unless you’re completely sitting still at rest. Even then it’s weak. If you were doing something like driving or anything remotely active, forget it, you’d never notice those way too short and weak vibrations. Phone calls are a bit more aggressive because of the repeated and longer vibrations, and also wake the screen automatically, which notifications annoyingly do not.
I get the feeling that updates will address stuff a lot of people are asking for, like the notifications waking the screen, tap screen to wake etc. But if there’s no way (not sure if it’s possible by firmware updates?) to make the heptic feedback vibration intensity more noticeable by a decent margin, I may go back to the band… which is a bummer cause I do like the bigger screen.
For $25 I can’t complain. I love the battery life, but after that… meh.
My own fault for not realizing it had no speaker and as others have said the haptic is worthless to actually get attention if you’re wearing it. It is however very noticeable sitting flat on my nightstand as a morning alarm. I think the nightstand acts like an echo chamber.
I honestly can’t see much real-world use for it though if it doesn’t actually get your attention when notifications, alarms, timers are triggered.
For $25 I guess it can be a kids watch to make them feel they have a smart watch just like Daddy’s AppleWatch.
