Mine shows whatever it shows… Who knows if it is accurate. I’m certainly not going to get my calculator out and start adding up all the video lengths for 25 cams over 14 days. I really don’t care if it is 9 days worth or 9 hours. I get notifications of people when it happens. If I am concerned, I view the events then.
That entire top banner area with those cards is a useless waste of prime real estate that could be used for useful information. What is there isn’t useful.
My wyze video doorbell feed shows vertical unlike other cameras. Can we change the view to wide? I use scrypted plugin to add in Apple Home app and video also shows -90 degrees
Previous Event Videos recorded to the server, however, will play and they are indeed rotated 90° due to the difference in Aspect Ratio of the cam image. Something that definately needs fixed.
When I log into web view in iOS Safari I see a page similar to what you just posted. But when I try to play a video of an event I only get this message.
Not sure what is causing the Event Playback error in the Safari app. I am viewing Web View Event Playback in Android 11 Chrome Browser. I can’t even begin to troubleshoot iOS \ MAC incompatibilities.
To Vote for and post comments on requesting the VDBv1 and VDBPro be supported in Wyze Web View, you can go to this Wishlist topic:
It may be low voting and replies because very few users try to stream their doorbell in the WebView app. Honestly, I never use WebView. All notifications come to my phone that has the app. If I need to check out an AI Event from a notification, I’m already in the app to jump to live view.
B/ how do we get it edited that this is about live web viewing and not looking at events
C/ if I’m on my computer I’d like to turn on live view on a browser page and see without picking up my phone (understand I can’t leave it open in live view in VDP without draining the battery)
D/ will be very helpful if user wants to temporarily share the live web view with someone during an emergency like EMS or the PD when user is away from their home but have received an alert
You might need to load and Android emulator on your computer if you want to do that. Lots of companies are abandoning desktop operating systems. I feel we are permanently stuck in both worlds whether we like it or not. I don’t have any trouble playing it back on my Android pixel 7 however
The title of the request topic might be able to be changed by a Moderator, however since the WebView Events Viewer is also not working properly, rotated 90° for some and unable to play for others, it is technically a full compatibility issue on both sides. Perhaps the title can be modified for clarity to provide more accurate search results. I am tagging in @Loki for a look see and determination.
