Wyze V2 Cam - Playback from SD Card: Camera info is null

I also been having the sMe problem with my V2 cameras. So I decided to start a campaign on social media criticizing the company and pointing out these problems with Wyze cameras. I will also state that Wyze has done nothing to address them and give a solution.

Yep, my app auto-updated to the new version last night and now all my cam pan 2 cameras say “the camera info is null”. Can’t believe this has been going on for a month and the still haven’t repaired it!

Ok I thought I was going crazy. it just happened to me. My cats had a fight & I wanted to see who & what happened. I heard them from another room. Nothing is working anymore. I tried the non-updated app on my back up phone & it would not work at all. they forced the update to use the app. All camera info is null on all cameras. 9 cams in the toilet right now. I have senior sick rescue cats & this is my way to keep tabs while I am at work. VERY VERY UPSET right now.

Thank you to the user that suggested going to the live feed & using playback. At least now I know its a bug & my SD cards are still doing their job. I just invested in the 128GB versions. I would loose my mind if they were all corrupt simultaneously.

Praying this bug gets sorted soon!

Same here. I wonder how long this company will last with so many operational problems…Rhe security lapse of the cameras a few weeks ago was devastating. Now, they update firmware to take out the older cameras so people have to buy new models…Sounds like something the BBB should investigate!

I turned my camera off and then it wouldn’t come back on. Turned it off and again and it came back on and now I can play back again with no error.

Same issue here. I’ve got version 2 version 3 and I just received some version. Fours I can’t full screen view live any of them and it says camera info is null.
Need to find an older version of the app and install it and turn off automatic updates. It’s just trash. The company does this and doesn’t test their products they release.

Okay so today I got frustrated with the app just misbehaving I was on the latest beta so I went to version 2.5 and most of all the features for even the version 4s work. On the version 4, I can’t set the detection area. That feature doesn’t work but everything else does and I have no issue looking at full screen or playback or anything else. I’m going to stick with that version until they get the bugs out.

I have one v2 camera in my setup, and I don’t see any UI difference with the latest app.

Is WYZE going to respond to all of these notices or are we just going to hear crickets?

Looks like they’re just going to sit back and allow the company to go out of business, but not before they take in every last dime from unsuspecting customers. All 9 of my cameras are in the toilet now. Knew it was too good to last. Every company becomes crap
