I installed it, but to be fair, I wasn’t having any connectivity issues, so I probably can’t give feedback on whether it helps.

Installed just fine, wasn’t having any problems before either but I guess it’s good to make things better.

Installed without any issue. As others did not have any issues with connectivity. But will report if i see anything different.

Installed… No problem.
No connectivity issues since the previous FW update 1.2.5
Thanks!

Oops - new problem.
I can’t turn devices on or off in the App.
The thermostat seems to work fine.
I wouldn’t think a firmware update for the thermostat would have that affect… but that’s when it started.
Is anyone else seeing this?

Update - I looked at it again and was getting this message…
“Failed to update device list (error code -1).”

It seems to be working now, but extremely slow.

Update 2
Seems to be back to normal now.
Anyone know what that error massage was about?

-1 Failed to update device list
Please make sure you are connected to the internet or mobile data. If the issue occurs with internet/mobile data connection, try deleting and reinstalling the Wyze app.
This is from the wyze error code post.

That’s what starts to happen in the app when there is a service outage. Might have been a local connectivity brown out w\ your ISP or just a localized temporary glitch on the AWS servers in your area.

Thanks for the replies…
Everything is back to normal now… I didn’t have to do anything… It gradually came back on it’s own.
(FYI - I didn’t notice anything else not being connected.)
Thanks again.

1.2.6 doesn’t show up on app e e though I reloaded app. App still says 1.2.5 is latest version. Can you help? Thermostats always lose wifi connection.

1.2.6 is beta firmware for the T-Stat.

If you you want beta firmware, you will need to go to Account > About and select Beta Program. From there agree to any notices then tap on edit, select T-Stat, and click save.

This will allow you to get the beta firmware.

Wyze Cam v3

Is there a specific question you have about the Cam v3? Also, this is in the T-Stat Beta topic, so it should probably be moved to a Cam or Cam V3 Topic.

Whatever happened to the Learning Algorithms that were promised on launch and promotes as “Coming in 2021”?

How would we know if they are working on improving the efficiency of the thermostat?
My system seems to be working differently lately…
I wish there was more detail on what the “Behavior” settings were doing!
I looked through the Wyze Thermostat Users Guide and didn’t find ANYTHING on it.
As a Beta user, I’d be happy to provide feedback…

I am still very apprehensive about updating my thermostat firmware (still on 1.2.1 ) as many users have claimed last update broke functionality of device and other issues. On that note I would still like to see wise FIX the issue of “Filter Management” which has NEVER worked at all. (Going on two years now since I reported)
Whats the point of having a % Used that always says 0% ? I would think this is a pretty easy fix to make algorithm work based on furnace run-time. I have not noticed any other users complaining of this problem so maybe I have the only “Easter Egg” hardware that doesn’t work as advertised but I doubt it.
I have speculated that eventually this would get fixed but I’m losing hope that it will ever be resolved.

You are not alone in your apprehension to update your thermostat firmware. I am also on 1.2.1 with stable operations. I am in the Beta Tester pool, but I will not test Beta Firmware on my Thermostat or Sense Hub. I consider both critical systems and without a backup or the ability to flash firmware, it just isn’t worth the risk when they are stable on the current firmware.

My filter management is useless as well. I am hovering at 4% used right now… 4 months into a 6 month filter. New math I guess.
