I bought a new hub and set it up yesterday and it went offline a little while later. I went through all the troubleshooting steps with no luck. My original hub went offline and I deleted the device. When I tried to reset it, it did nothing. I accidentally deleted this hub to and it’s doing the same thing as my original. Nothing. Apparently the reset button does nothing. This is ridiculous. Has anyone else had this problem?
There is a Fix-it-Friday report about hubs going offline and then not reconnecting on their own. Wyze is looking into that.
For now, when that happens, what is needed to bring it back online is not to tap the reset button (which can basically remove the hub from it’s setup), but to hold the reset button down and not let go until the LED lights all flash, then let go. If the hub is plugged in to power, this takes about 10 seconds. If it is unplugged, the hub will power down into a suspended status and then when you plug it back into power it will power back on. Then it will reconnect after it boots back up.
In my experience, if you have just pressed and released the reset button, then you may have to go through the entire setup all over again:
