Reminder: If this firmware update isn’t showing up for you, you have to go add it to your list of approved Beta Firmware in the Account Tab → Beta Program → Edit → Check the new devices which are always unchecked by default → Save
I went to try to load this firmware and found it wasn’t showing up for me and remembered this is a new device I hadn’t manually approved for Beta yet.
I’m looking forward to this firmware because I just started noticing some SD card continuous recording discrepancies over the the weekend that I think were related to some of the above issues. I’m glad to see Wyze is already on top of it. I’ll test it out and see if it helps.
This will allow you to get the Beta App, in addition in any app, you can go to Account > About and select Beta Program
Then select Edit and check all boxes next to the devices you would like Beta Firmware for. I select all devices as I like testing them and seeing what is coming.
Hi, my Cam Duo Doorbell is still experiencing this issue, so it won’t do continuous recording. However, the battery never drops below 100%, so I know my wiring is physically stable and charging.
Hi @kithytom I looked over your past comments and I am experiencing some similar issues related to the SD card. Sometime mine will load and sometimes it won’t I also used to get some disconnects where it wouldn’t record.
Let me ask you, what kind of SD card are you using and what size? Mine seemed to get better when I switched to a 32GB card and loaded this new firmware, but I was having lots of problems with a larger endurance SD card.
Also, do you have a Wyze Chime Controller connected to your chime or do you not have one of those setup?
I have the Wyze Wi-Fi Chime that came with the Duo Cam Doorbell, so no wired connection, only plug into the outlet.
As for the SD cards, I tried Wyze 32GB microSDHC, Samsung 128GB EVO Plus microSDXC UHS-I, SanDisk 64GB Extreme microSDXC UHS-I. All cards work on Cam V3, Cam OG, Cam Pan v3, but will not have continuous recording on Duo Cam Doorbell.
