Wyze camera live stream issues

Another one of mine has stopped working!

Only 4 out of 10 working now

This situation is unacceptable - it seems that Wyze do not have the ability to fix it.

Maybe Wyze ought to make an effort to explain what is happening.

Just lost another cam - and most are showing " offline" yet they still try to connect.

One of my working cameras has just sent notification of 3 events.

Only one of the three videos will play.

EDIT:

All 10 of my V3s are now working normally ( in the UK)

I hope you all have a fully working system now.

EDIT: Too good to be true! Cameras are working and giving notifications … But no events in the events list!!!

One of my cameras still has no events shown. How to fix this?

Also how do you create a new thread on this forum? There doesn’t seem to be an option for this?

All my events suddenly turned up in the events list - it took a while though.

i have the opposite issue, i can view lIVE feed using WiFi but not with Data

Top of the page right side click new topic.

Hopefully the new 2.5x app coming for Android will fix these live stream problems.
I used to logout/login like once every 2-3 months, now I am doing it weekly (or more).

I know it is ultra-difficult to maintain all these devices and camera models, on two different platforms, so I am patient !

Just today I fought a Microsoft Edge Chromium problem that I traced to a corrupt profile I thought (got it to work with a temporary profile). Turns out it was a bug in a new version of Edge Chromium that had auto-updated on my spouse’s laptop. This bug had been slayed in an earlier canary beta version, but had slipped into production unbeknownst to the devs. I try not to run beta software, so I did not know about this one, and fought it for hours. The new version 122.0.2365.66 just came down an hour ago, and fixed it (I hope).

Thanks for all you do WyzeJasonJ and everyone at Wyze!

same for me!

I’ve been having this issue for a couple of weeks now and after changing out the power brick and the USB cords and restarting the router and restarting the modem and restarting the eeros and unplugging the cameras and factory resetting the cameras and still the issue continued, I began to think that maybe it’s my phone that’s the issue, because I can view 99.9% of the live feed but only when I have Wi-Fi on on plus everything seemed to have changed when I got a new phone.

FYI I had a Samsung A20 when I first installed internet and cameras and everything worked perfectly and then my camera broke and I got a replacement from the insurance and they sent me an A21.

Anyway so I installed the wyze app on my sister’s phone to do a comparison test and sure enough I could view the live stream perfectly with no issue whatsoever while my phone was still freezing up at 0 KBs

So this obviously tells me that it’s my phone that’s the issue for some reason.

That’s weird. But what’s not clear is; if it worked with the A21 before the recent changes? Or was it broken the very first time with the A21?

I can’t pinpoint exactly but I believe that the issue started right after I got the a21

A little update here, yesterday I used my sister’s and my cousin’s phone and download the app and was able to view the live feed in real time without any issue using only cellular data, Also earlier today I switched my old SIM card back to the a20 and lo and behold I could view the live feed using cellular only.

This is an older thread, but it is kind of interesting:

I think the Wyze App only supports IPV4, so if the APN settings on the new phone forced it to IPV6 only, it could be affecting camera live view connection over LTE/5g?
I have been having bizarre connection issues to my V3 Pro cameras since the incident.
I hope the new 2.5 version of the Android app will fix these pesky connection issues.

I believe IPV’s are only wifi settings and not cellular connection settings.
But according to Jason (onFB) WYZE is in the works on the issue. It’s known.

The Samsung S24 recently came out and works great. :grinning:

My cameras too!!! I can view live stream at home, but once I leave, I cannot view anything. Trouble shooting does nothing. Why have these cameras if you cannot view live??? What’s going on Wyze???

Someone brilliant needs to come up with a Wyse cam troubleshooting tool. If there is a tool already out there, please let us know.

I have this exact same issue, it is INFURIATING.

What is the point of a wifi webcam that you’re supposed to be able to access when you are away from home that won’t work!??!!?!

I’m just about ready to toss all 3 of my WYZE cameras in the trash as I’ve had enough of this run around and I am sure the HUNDREDS of thousands of other customers are going to be running off the cliff with me soon if there is no fix offered.

A fix would consist of:

A simple software update.

Instructions for users who have various phones so they can determine what steps they need to take in order to make the WYZE cams work properly like they did when they were first set up!!!

An admission of fault, and absolute lack of knowledge on how to fix this scenario, but pushing the awareness out there to your customer that YES, we are aware of this and are trying desperately to fix this. But if that fix never comes, the cliff jumping will still occur.

You have hundreds of thousands of customers for a reason and we’ve all paid good money for your products, time to step up the fix Wyze, this is simply unacceptable.

Hey y’all so apparently Wyze came up with with an App update in lo and behold I can view my cameras without the need of Wi-Fi, apparently they finally fixed whatever issue it was at least on my end.

I too have had problems viewing livestream on and off as well but it’s been really bad today. Events work but live stream just sits there… And when/if it does connect it’s very slow and choppy.

Rebooting the base station seems to help but I just rebooted a couple days ago… And of course when you reboot the base station you then have to fix the cooldown time ago.

Come on Wyze, fix your firmware please.
