I’m excited for the V3Pro firmware. Hopefully it resolves the weird in and out on cloud events recording that we reported in the previous beta.

Firmware is now available. I am performing the installation.

Installed from Bulk Firmware Update Page. Experienced no issues with the install

Will now perform some testing

Updated in bulk, 21 cams.
4 were problem children, and had to be power cycled before they would update.
(All cams reboot once a day on a schedule already)

WebView was fixed for both v3 and v3 pro before the firmware updates today, so it was not firmware that needed to be fixed for that to work.

LED light status now seems to work, except…
If you are being viewed via the WebView, shouldn’t you still be notified via the LED light?
Viewing cams via WebView does not turn the LEDs red.
Some would feel this is an important privacy issue, not knowing when they are actively being viewed, when they leave the status light on for that express purpose.

16 V3 and 2 V3 Pro updated successfully via the bulk update page. One V3 refuses to take the update. It has the same FW version to start with as the other V3s - 4.36.12.9357. That one camera was restarted via the app several times, and firmware update attempted several times each from the bulk update page and from that one camera individually. Update fails every time. That one camera is not easily accessible, and the only way I can power cycle it is to kill the AC breaker that feeds that part of the house (which I would prefer not to do because of other stuff on that circuit). That one camera is less than two feet from the closest access point, but is connected to the AP about 60 feet away (clear line of sight) and showing 3 bars on the camera and -40dBm at the AP. It has been connected to that AP for the past week, and watching video is fine. I will try it again tomorrow.

I can confirm this latest beta for V3 fixed the Floodlight V1 audio playback issue.

On a separate note, I did the same network test with this V3 beta firmware 4.36.12.9751. I turned off the network at 7:55am and turned it back on at 9:55am. I am only able to view the playback footage until 8:25am in the app. After 30 min of internet outage, the recordings start saving in a randomly generated dated folder with a incorrect timestamp. As a result, you need to physically remove the micro SD card to play it back in a phone or PC. Flashing this V3 beta firmware will cause to act exactly like the OG cameras. The V3 stable firmware of 4.36.11.8391 can playback the full 2 hour no problem.

I stalled this firmware on 8 v3’s and 1 v3pro. Hope this will fix the issue in which none of my v3s have been recording video. They are all on cam plus with no sd card. As a test I have put og’s, v3pro, v4, and a v2 right next to a few of the v3’s and they all record events properly. This all started a few weeks ago.

The web portal is not working on V3Pros again. Presumably it’s more of a backend issue since it was working on this same firmware earlier and now stopped again.

It was working on the firmware before the 4/22 update as well.
I checked it just minutes before running the updates, and all versions of the cams were working at that time.

Just noticed that this firmware still has the issue where the camera sometimes goes in a condition where it stops uploading any cloud events for long periods of time.

Web portal is back to working again.

Same here , it amazing this was mentioned multiple times by multiple people in the last thread. Yet guess what because no one at WYZE pays attention to the forums here we are. So maybe in another month you all will get that fixed. I just reverted mine back to prod. I will say it again there is no purpose to the Beta forums and this truly goes to show you.

The issue has been reported and Wyze is looking into it. The Log Files help a lot in getting a resolution to the issue

It was reported almost 4weeks ago in the previous firmware by @cyberdog_17 and then others after that.

True, it seemed to be fixed but then it started up again. I sent the logs provided by Carver and cyber to Wyze as well.

I had the same issues with recording to the cloud and getting no event notifications on 2 floodlight cams and went through all the procedures that tech support said to do even after I had done the same things before contacting them several times with no permanent fix even deleting one device and re-installing with same results. Installed new FW update and worked for a few days and now issues back again. Can click restart & reset with intermittent luck for a few recordings and goes out again.

It did not seem to be fixed, since a reboot always fixes the issues for a day or two…you would never know for that time period
