Wyze Cam V3 - Can't turn off notifications for more than 24hours

If I shut off notifications in the Android App it always turns back on in less than 24 hours. How do I shut off notifications from this camera (Wyze Cam V3) for a few days?

Welcome @bocknine

Are you looking to shut all notifications off or just for the one camera?

If you want to shut off all notifications, tap on the bell icon at the top right of the main favorites page.

If you want to turn off notifications for a specific camera, go to the camera, live stream it, then click the gear at the top right. In the notification area turn it off there. Note: If you have any rules set up for the camera and notifications, the rule would override the setting and perform the action. Basically, if you have a rule to turn on notification, then the notifications will go back on.

Also, if you shared your logon with another individual, then they would have the ability to turn notifications on or off as well. Are you sharing with another?

Since @spamoni mentioned Automations (formerly Rules), then it’s maybe worth mentioning that that’s what I’d be likely to use if I wanted to turn off notifications for a specific camera for only a few days. I’d turn off notifications for that camera (in addition to going to the camera’s settings, as @spamoni indicated, you can also navigate from the app’s Home screen to  Account ➜  Notifications ➜ Push Notifications and deselect the camera under Devices) and then create a Schedule type Automation to turn the notification back on at the desired time a few days later.

It turns out my wife had set an action to turn the notifications off and on every day. That took precedence over my turning notifications off for this one camera. The thing to note (maybe this was obvious to everyone but me) the notification setting is per camera not per phone app so if they are off - no one gets notifications and on - everyone gets notifications. And if two people are adjusting settings they need to coordinate. Problem solved though!

Thanks for the update!

Yeah, notifications are a sticky problem, especially for shared users—though I’m guessing instead of sharing a device from your Wyze account to your wife’s Wyze account, you’re probably using the same credentials on different phones. If you’re actually sharing a camera with another user—as in you navigate in the app to  Account ➜ Sharing and invite another user with a separate Wyze account to have access to the camera—then that shared access user gets notifications for the camera if the owner has them enabled and doesn’t really have a way to turn them off if they’re not wanted. That’s one of the things I’ve really wanted to see Wyze address in the Multiple Users' Permissions for Shared Users Wishlist topic.
