Wyze Cam Outdoor v2

. I cannot figure out how to get the camera to work during the night. I have the IR setting on. Detection is set at 70. Image sensitivity is at 90. Detection zone is on. PIR is set up. Smart detection is on for everything. Night vision mode IR lights are on.Ir set on auto. Firmware version is 4.48.4.450. This is a brand new camera attached to a solar panel. Is there a wrong setting on my app or is the camera defective?

As a new user I cannot load the video. It is nearly black with static and occasional white shadow. Nothing can be made out on the video.

Welcome to the Forum, @dlhinchey2!

That’s the way the Forum works for everyone. While you’re at Trust Level 0, you can’t upload an attachment aside from an image, but you can still post a link if you’ve uploaded the video elsewhere (e.g., YouTube). You can upload videos of 5.86 MB or less starting at Trust Level 1. Just spending a little time reading other posts in the Forum can easily get you over that hump, and looking at other topics may lead you to troubleshooting ideas or solutions.

WCO placement can be tricky, especially the PIR zone. Placement is best when you can get the motion detected across the field of view not staight at or away from the camera. Best if the IR lights have something to reflect off of like Ol’Stinky here like on this 5 year 10 month old WCO v1.
