Updated 2-v4’s. Samsung s24, android 15.

So far so good.

Updated duo doorbell, v4 cameras, and floodlight pro.

All seems to be functioning without issues.

I did 3 V4’s, no known issues.

Reminds me of someone who insists Wyze video is streamed via udp!

My v4s and dual doorbell updated without issues and are operating. Im not sure this is update related but anyone getting dual chimes through the wifi chime after the doorbell is pressed? They are 5 to 10 seconds apart. I do have 1.rule that plays a sound when a user is detected but is volume 1 and a unique tone.

Even if that prevents you (the clip owner) from capturing your own clip?

This is a different thread. Responded in the original thread.

I just wanted to say that I finally gave into to updating to this beta firmware today and it did not go well. My device stopped allowing me to live stream, and it stopped recording any events. I could not connect to it to tell it to restart, so I had to turn off power to the breaker, then open up the doorbell and remove the battery.

This allowed me to connect to the live stream but the live stream was severely delayed with a lot of latency. In addition, my doorbell settings had changed from recording all motion to Smart detections. However, it was not recording anything at all. No events. So I toggled a bunch of settings off and back on and switched them back what they should have been. This made no difference. My device still would not record any events.

I then went into settings and told it to reset services, and restart the device. I then went into the settings after the device restarted, and toggled all the event settings back to what I normally want them to be. This did fix the problem. My device was now recording events and automation triggers were working again too.

There is still some latency. It varies a little, but I would generally say it’s about 3 seconds. There were several instances where it is frozen for 10+seconds before it jumps to only be around 3 seconds behind again.

Overall, not a great update. I urge caution in pushing this to production. If it gets pushed to production in it’s current form due to other properties, I strongly urge a slow rollout so support is not overwhelmed.

@WyzeJasonJ @WyzeAndy just want to make sure you’re aware of this.

Dang! As a fellow wired user getting that hard reset completed can be a chore. My wires are just long enough I can remove one of the terminals while the battery is out. My luckily my Dual Doorbell and v4s have not seen any issues with this version. Hope you get that latency solved

Sadly my experience wasn’t a one-time issue. Already have someone else reporting this firmware knocked their camera offline too once it launched to public:

For one I’m on the food side of an update…wondered what this feels like. I think my duo came.loads faster than it ever has. Knew it was to good to be true :). Good luck!
