Wyze App Service Outage - 8/22/19

Literally every aspect of my Wyze system is in some sort of failure. From cams to bridge lights etc are reporting wrong settings or not even turning on at all. App takes like 20 times to even log in and then still has wrong reports of status

Left and came back, Wyze system not functioning again. :frowning:

Thank you for the information

We’re in the middle of the server maintenance and this is likely impacting people further. We apologize for the difficulty.

Resuelvan lo mĆ”s pronto posible y por que mis cĆ”maras aparecen offline…?

Getting worse for us. System used to think about logging in then deny me. Now it just won’t even try. Hit login and it does nothing. Not a single second of thinking about it. Just sits there.

We are trying to set up a new device and during he install process the QR code is not even popping up as described in the video

I can not log in!!!:rage::rage::rage::rage:

I’m not seeing Amazon reporting service issues with AWS at large. Is Wyze experiencing a DDoS attack?

We apologize for the difficulty, folks. We’re working on server maintenance intended to help with this problem and we’ll update you when we have further information.

Logged me out then logged in. Now it’s working

Man some people can’t seem to read…there is an outage…they are doing maintenance which will lead to further outage or service disruptions…man…:man_shrugging:

Back up and running fine in South NJ.

I’m in the Philippines and my cameras and sensors are unresponsive too :slightly_frowning_face:. Al I can do is wait. :pray:t4:

Update… cameras are good to go but not the sensors yet.

Well, the very first report from Wyze suggests this began with a DDoS. Whatever they’re doing now - ā€œmaintenanceā€ - is likely in response to thwart said attack.

The system hasn’t recovered yet. Until it does, some people will work, some won’t and symptoms will vary.

Improvement to service. Access is good. Only slow uploads of new events remaining.

I have a few wyzecams, in particular 1 as a baby monitor. 30 mins ago I started getting ā€œtimeoutā€ messages on the screen (i view them through tinycam pro) in kitchen/living room (Android TV).

Failed to connect to api.wyzecam.com/54.148.54.240:8443 (also there is another address with 52.25. etc…

I went nuts thinking it’s the tinyCam pro app… someone else mentioned, a heads up service outage message would be appreciated!

At 18:00 I was able to sign on the Android production App .82 Thanks to all at Wyze for pursuing the fix.

8/22/19 6:07 PM PT - The server maintenance is taking longer than the initial forecast and services may still be unstable for some customers. We will update once we have more information.
