Different device first worked for me too.
Same for me on my note 10 with my samsung watch 3 connected can’t connect to app. Shut watch off and I can connect. This is even with current up-to-date firmware.
I disconnected my watch in bluetooth on the phone, and was able to connect the app to the headphones. The bigger problem is that I have to shut off the watch or disconnect from the phone in order to get the headset to reconnect to the phone.
In my case I have no problems pairing the headphones when my watch is on. It works perfectly in that regard, I just cannot add the headphones to the Wyze app unless I disconnect my watch. Once I’ve successfully added my headphones to the app, the app can only see my headphone while my watch is disconnected, so I can’t change any of the advanced features without mucking around with Bluetooth settings before an after.
I am not able to connect my headphones to my phone if my watch is connected.
I had this issue, but a forget of the device on my android and a reboot of the phone fixed it. The wyze app was then able to find it, paired it for me, and then updated the firmware.
Same issue. Turned off watch and was able to add to the app. turned on watch and lost ability to control headphones in app.
I am having the same issue too.
In order to use the Wyze app for the headphones, I always have to turn off my Samsung Active watch.
Please look into this Wyze Team
Not sure WYZE is monitoring the thread. I have had no issues since my initial findings and many have followed suit in identifying Smart Watches. My Headphones stay connected and are able to be managed with my Galaxy Frontier watch connected to my Note10+.
I can pull as much data as I can outta this thread and others to provide as much detail and create a support ticket then they may possibly test and create an update.
But knowing how development teams work… the more “tickets” the higher the prioritization in the sprint. So I would encourage all that are having this issue to create a support ticket.
There are some hiccups but I love the headphones.
Not thrilled so far. I’ve had them a week and have trouble signing on for a Zoom meeting on my computer. We have two headphones and one is ok, the other connects and disconnects continually. I have shut off phone pairing so it is paired to nothing other that computer. I sure hope this improves or I’m sending them back!
I know there have been and will be some growing pains, I am not going to complain yet. We are all benefitting from being on the bleeding edge of the right product for the right price the deal is help improve issues and not think you can get better somewhere else. Wyze has been very very good. I spent $200.00 on a Motiv ring that can’t even be a paperweight.
Awesome! All I had to do was turn off my Samsung Active 2 watch and the Wyze app on my Samsung S20+ phone connected right up when I clicked the “+” (Add new device) button! Currently doing the firmware update! Thanks a bunch for solving this one!
I just hope this will also solve my odd problem with using Alexa… it requires that my phone be on with the screen on and the Alexa app turned on. When I attempt to do a voice command it seems to only be hearing the command from the PHONE… the normal way you’d do it from the app. The headphones simply appear to be the trigger… as if you had tapped on the blue “A” in the app. That’s of little value… I mean who is going to want to run around with the Alexa app open all the time? If the screen goes dark the Alexa call will fail. Like I said I’m hoping this firmware update will solve this. Anyone else having similar problems?
I understand that, but right now I literally cannot use them. They are essentially a paperweight. When will the firmware update happen to make them usable?!?
This solution combined with R.Good was the exact ticket - took me forever to figure out that I had to turn off my Galaxy watch, force stop the app, then watch the magic happen!
Thanks everyone for getting me past this issue!
Any chance of a fix so I do not have to disconnect my watch from my phone everytime I need to adjust a setting on the headphones?
If you have had this issue, I encourage you to please enter a support ticket. That is how the developers will become aware of the magnitude of the issue and possibly put out a patch/update.
I have entered one, but mine is one… The masses are needed for prioritization.
I was able to reconnect my watch after I went through everything. Turning off the watch is only so that you can connect the headphones to the app. Once that is done, you can turn the watch back on, and everything will work fine.
That is not the case with me. In order to connect at any point, I need to disconnect the watch by turning it off, or disconnecting on the phone.
Hey everyone day 1 beta tester and also had this issue.
Called customer service and was fixed in less than a minute.
If there’s anything else connected to Bluetooth on phone. the. The Headphones won’t connect to app . Instantly after only having headphones connected to phone the app picked up headphones and updated them.
Hope this helps.
