@PaulSamuelson ! I believe the reason for this is the way the OG Cams handle the audio stream. For whatever reason, the OG Cams are using the Phone Call audio stream rather than one of the other audio delivery channels (music, notification, media, alarms, etc.).
It has been reported by several other users in the threads linked below. By default, most phones will mute or suspend all other audio channels when a phone call is in progress. Since the OG is using that channel, the phone reacts in the same manner.
I have not read anywhere that there has been confirmation of this from Wyze or if a fix or update is eminent.

I’m not sure what update this started happening with but the app switches between media, ring tone volume, and in-call volume while viewing a video, be it live stream or playback. On the main page the audio is media. Which to me is normal. Then once I click on my grouped cameras it changes to ring tone volume. Clicking on a camera in the WyzeCam app opens the feed at full volume when my phone is set to silent.
Again, the issue of playing back a clip turns off the music playing with the clip audio of the wyze clip. Did not do this for months. Now this problem is back. No settings were touched. I’m all ears to how to mute the app 100%. Thanks.
hello, i turned ring tone/ system/notif/media volume all the way down, but still i can hear wyzecam remote sound , and its played back on max vol setting. this means if I cant check up on wyze cams at home which have sound recording on , while at a library etc as i will disturb those around me. am using latest version of app on Oreo.
could I ask someone to verify if this happens on their android setup? thx
I have a strange issue. I have a Pan cam (4.10.3.50), and a V2 (4.9.4.37) currently connected (and one of each I have not connected yet, but will check later). Running the Wyze app on a Samsung Note 9 with Android 9/OneUI.
When adjusting volume for the V2, it uses (as I would expect) the Media volume adjustment. Volume increases and decreases as expected.
