Wyze App Keeps Closing!

TBF I am in the beta so I cannot complain.

Yes, but not everyone is on beta and they have the right to complain.

When/where did I say they did they did not?

At the end of the day I do not know who is on it and who is not.

If you read the entire thread you’d notice that the beta version was pushed to everyone, not just beta testers. So, only non beta testers have the right to complain.

I guess this beta push was selective? I missed out? (I am glad.)

I read the OP and most of the posts to the point it is easy to fix so no point after that and to that point it did not state beta.so could be both beta and standard builds AFAIK

It appears you can clear Data from the App info page as well. That is supposed to correct this as well.

That did not work for me but does work a lot of the time, the next stage is also cleaning the data but depending on the App you can mess it up other things.

That’s not my inference, which is why I suggested posting the actual app version. I think the lack of this information is contributing to confusion here.

clearing cache doe not help, Cleared storage and logged back in.

i had to log out and clear cache and than it crashing

Typical Wyze releasing subpar products as always. Worked fine yesterday, got a new update and now app can’t even stay open.

I feel like this issue comes back at least once a year.

I have been having the exact same issue. I have started and restarted my phone, the app and everything else I could think of and nothing works. I call the help line and they said the are aware of the issue and would get back to me but so far, nothing. This could not have come at a worst time, just when we need help in combating porch pirates.

Same issue.

Force stop. Clear cache. Reboot.
Still crashing.

Pixel 7 Pro
Android 15
Wyze version 3.2.8.b603

I was concerned that if I did and uninstall and reinstall that I would have to re-enroll all of my cameras and their settings. But apparently the settings are stored on the Wyze servers, so a simple reinstallation restored everything back to normal.

I too was concerned that I would lose all my devices but then read that everything would be remembered. I appear to have lost 100% of my setup. Even though I had to log in following the app installation, I had to login again to make this post. I wonder if I’m using a different login than what my devices are registered too. I’m currently using the Google authentication method vs. my account with Wyse. BTW, it just autocorrected to “Wuse”. Considering my plight, that sort of seems appropriate.

That could be the problem.

Welcome to the forum.

J’ai désinstallé et réinstallé l’application. Je n’ai pas perdu la configuration et maintenant tout fonctionne correctement.

Going to sound strange but i followed all of the suggestions above. I was just about to roll back to version 2.X as I read that this is a 32 bit version which would be better supported for Android Go OS. Instead i just turned on Bluetooth and it randomly started working fine. No issues now. Weird
