The Wyze App keeps closing. It flashes up my Home screen then disappears. I see it’s running in the background but when I try to bring it up, it closes again (but runs in the background).

Clearing Cache didn’t help.
That was the first thing I did.
Didn’t want to have to reinstall it, but it looks like that’s where this is headed.
Same here! The wyze app auto updated last night and now when I open it, it immediately crashes. I’ve restarted the phone and cleared app cache. Nothing helps. I really dont want to uninstall and lose all my settings!
Odd. Mine was last updated at end of November? Maybe it’s still in the pipeline for me. Supposedly I am on the latest.
I seem to remember that settings are stored online, but I could be mistaken.
Mine is doing the same thing. According to the phone’s settings > Apps, I have version 3.2.8 b603 on a Moto Edge 5+ UW (2022) with Android version 14. Was working fine yesterday.
Just checked my #$%^& iPhone and versionn3.2.7 (1) is working correctly.

I ended up doing a reinstall.
I ended up reinstalling and now it’s fine. I didnt lose any of my settings either. I never had to uninstall before so I wasn’t sure how it worked but it was pretty painless. The most annoying thing is the app pops up all of the walk throughs like you’re a newbie lol
Mine is doing the same thing on a One+ Nord 10 5G. The app was running fine yesterday. Wondering if an update was applied overnight. Didn’t realize it was a beta version.
Hope some Wyze guys are monitoring this forum and are on this. Tough time of the year to have a breakdown.

@oneilldm, @jeffseal, @bhuntley00, @TooWyse, and @JH30UK: When reporting problems like this, it’s helpful to share your app version. I suspect what you’re describing is an experience with the latest β app, where the prescribed solution is uninstall/reinstall:
This shouldn’t be a concern, as they’re stored on Wyze’s servers. When you’re forced to log back into the Wyze app (after re-install, clearing cache, or similar scenarios), the app will pull down a fresh copy of your profile and settings.

I am having the same problem, reinstall cache clear and phone restart didn’t fix it
I just uninstalled and then reinstalled it directly from the Google Play Store beta page, I did not leave the page or clear the cache and it all works fine now.
Did it fix the problem?
Same here … worked fine yesterday. Today app crashed right after launching, repeated all the times.
I am sure I already answered that in my post.
Cleared cache and data…working now. On Android go to phone settings… Click App Mgr ( or similar named) then click App Info (of loaded apps). Scroll down to Wyze app and click. Then go to Storage and click Clear Cache and Clear Data. (Just cache wont work) Then go back and open Wyze app. You will hv to sign back in. I didnt try reinstalling app because this worked for me.
P.S. I see now others hv said u only need to Clear Data.
Looks like Wyze pushed a beta version to Android users.
