Outage for Wyze Cloud on AWS?

I have virtually no functions in the Wyze app on my phone. There are no events posting for the past 2 weeks today although they were there last night. I can’t even log out on the app. Only a couple cams are showing live streaming, most are dead and showing errors. When I try to open anything in the account tab I’m getting a server error and try again later meesage.

Anyone got a clue as to what has happened at Wyze today? Do I need to delete the app and start over? HELP!!

No issues here accessing Wyze stuff. I would try the following in order (stop if successful):

  1. Put your phone in airplane mode, wait 10 seconds, undo airplane mode
  2. Restart your phone
  3. After restarting phone, if you still have issues and can log out of the app, log out, exit app, start app, log back in.
  4. Restart your router/network
  5. Uninstall Wyze app/reinstall. Your Wyze settings are stored in the cloud so you won’t lose them. The only items you will have to reset are related to Android, like any custom notification sounds, etc.

@Seapup - Thanks, the airplane mode and restart resolved my issues. But weirdly, when I opened the app, even though I’ve been on 3.0 for a week, it was like it had just been installed and I had to go thru the introduction screens. 5 years on Wyze and this is the freakiest incident I’ve encountered. Thanks ago for the quick response and solution. Looks like I may have not been alone per my friend @Crease.

No problem! :+1: And now that I think about it, I encountered that introduction screen on my 3.0 devices earlier today. I didn’t lose anything though. I just tapped “Skip” and carried on. My 3.0 setup remained unchanged. Did you have to rebuild your Favorites?

@Seapup - Not really. I only have 4 cams as favorites. If you noticed from my postings, not a fan and was planning on removing those 4 and sticking with the Devices tab. Looking for a better effort from Wyze developers with the 1st revision/upgrade of 3.0.9

Developers must have been doing something on the server. Surely they don’t expect us to go through the app’s tutorial every week. :expressionless: Maybe the has read/skip tutorial setting gets reset whenever they make a change to or add a page? IDK.
