Wyze App 3.0 = Terrible

The livestream slowed to unusable. This has nothing to do with the broadband speed, but in my case it has nothing to do with WiFi either. I am using about 5 cameras for couple of years on the same WiFi (and everything else) network setup. Given nothing has changed - what may be the reason that after upgrading to a new app everything slowed down so noticeably?

But the default is that it takes you to the Favorites tab even though you don’t have any favorites tagged.

Try force stopping the app and restart, cams should stream faster. Also power cycling the cams will help too. I am using 3.0 in my main phone and so far so good,

This is what I want back. I preferred the thumbnail view showing a single frame of the last event that happened. So much more useful when you have 10 cameras to skim them quickly. I don’t care about the live view when I am looking at a summary of devices. Now I have to scroll to see live views but can’t quickly see the last event. This is a big downgrade in usefulness. I’ll side load the previous version.

Old App and new app. You can easily see the name and power for each plug on the old version. The new one…not so much. At least give the option to let the tiles auto side horizontally to fit devices with longer names. Not sure how that got over looked

Thanks for the suggestion. All cameras were restarted as well as the app. Did not help. On the livestream I raise my hand and put it down - it literally takes 30 sec for this movement to appear on the livestream. This defeats the purpose of the security and livestream when it is no longer “live”. And this has never been the case before.
I think my journey with Wyze has come to an end. I will be buying more Ubiquity G3 Instant cameras and have it all local and manageable. Hard to believe the company can make such a disastrous hit to its reputation.

AGREE!!! I can’t view 2 of my cameras at all except in the group, so I can’t select and watch SD card at all. It’s messed everything up. God I hope they fix this or I’m throwing away the 8 cams I have and getting something else. Heck I can’t even look to see what happened with UPS today, they claimed they tried to deliver, but it didn’t pick up any motion (always has in the past), but I can’t get to the SD card til I get home. #FRUSTRATING

Agree, the new version is terrible. Has anyone figured out how to get 2.5.xxx back on Android? If so please post a step by step. I did find the older versions listed on the APKMirror link above but can’t figure out how to download and install the older version.

I absolutely agree, the new Wyzecam app is complete garbage and it makes me glad that I decided to replace some of my Wyzecams with Eufy cams instead (that might happen to ALL of my Wyzecams if they don’t fix this unusable app mess soon).

For sure a poorly tested update. After update I regularly get buttons that don’t respond and cameras that don’t connect (with a null device error). Automations are broken too and don’t follow rules that worked just fine on last version. Got a ticket open but no response from wyze. Haven’t looked into using ifttt yet but if the answer from wyze is to remove and recreate devices and rules I’ll move to something more stable.

Just came here to say the same. Have reinstalled 3x now. Keeps losing everything, nothing is online. This is getting old.

Was working semi
Normal for a while and now back to

Intermittent disconnections
Tried all advice . Rebooted network
Restarted all 26 cameras . Still slow .wyze better [Mod Edit] or word will get around .

Did you try to revert to 2.5 and have any luck?

I see zero issues on either app. I have the latest firmwave and a diversity of cams.

Wonder where the issue is.
