Does your LAN have the bandwidth to simultaneously connect to 16 cameras? I really doubt it. That’s why it’s slow. Remove the cameras from the “Favorites” tab, and try again using the “Devices” tab.
Your internet speed doesn’t matter if you’re trying to connect from within your LAN. Your internet download speed doesn’t matter either during the connection phase; it’s your upload speed that’s important.
I’m now having to clear Storage and cache about every other day, it’s the only way the app doesnt report not having cameras (thermostats also report being offline unless I clear storage).
Really starting to think about another system, which will be painful since we’ve invested a ton in to this one.
Same. They close tickets before they are resolved, without any notification, and delete forum threads after 3 months so others don’t realize how long the app has been having issues. I won’t buy more of their stuff and will steer people to other solutions.
Not sure what happened, but the app looks totally different on the “Events” tab. Now the videos scroll up and down as opposed to left and right. The app slowed down my phone so bad I was forced to restart it. It is now unusable. I have been trialing these two cameras (floodlight with v3 and v3 camera) for about 1.5 years, and the app has gone from good to bad to worse. I was actually thinking about switching from my other camera system to Wyze prior to this latest release, but this is a showstopper.
Edit: After the restart of the phone it seems to be working much better. Maybe something else was going on.
