Make Shortcut buttons smaller also, so I can position several of them at the top of the Favorites tab, above my device groups and individual cameras. Also, color coding options for different types of devices/groups would be really helpful.
Interesting…I’m using a Pixel 8 Pro and not seeing the “Upgrade” prompt.
I am testing the V3 app on both Android and iOS. I have found the when going to Settings and the Event Recording on the OG Cameras (Telephoto and Standard), the system either hangs or you get an error.
I submitted the following Logs:
iOS Log: 1435107
Android Log: 1435109
On iOS I see this
On Android I see this (System hangs and I have to stop the app and restart it):
Just noticed this huge inconsistency. On the favorites screen with camera groups and plugs or outlet groups. On the camera groups, the tiny little power icon in the upper right corner of the group (the green arrows below) is used to turn the group of cameras on or off, and anywhere else on the group expands the group - as it should be in my opinion. On a plug or outlet group, however it is just the opposite. The tiny little arrow icon in the upper right corner (the red arrows below) expands the group, and anywhere else on the group, turns all the plugs or outlets on or off.
Yes, it is arguable that you are more likely to want to turn off all the outlets in a group, but that’s easy enough to do from the group itself. WAY to easy to turn the outlets or plug group off when not desired.
I am using the beta IOS Wyze App 3.0.0(7) on iPhone 13 Pro Max on IOS 17.5.1.
I cannot get into the home Monitoring. I get this:-
Oops, something went wrong … screen…
LogID: 1435619
LogID: 1435619
App 3.0.0(7). iPhone X,
The Monitoring screen does not appear. It keeps telling me there is a problem. Attempted fixes did not work: cleared cache, force closed the app, rebooted iPhone. My wife’s iPhone with the standard app works as expected.

The only solution I could find after 24 hours of waiting was to delete the beta app and install the production app.
I had the same issue with my OG cams. It’s fixed now and I can access the Event Recordings and Notifications tabs properly again.
Smart focus on V4cam with beta software v3.0.0b greyed out
The smart focus in live view is greyed out and I can not figure out how to enable it.

Here’s a new bug for the beta app (Android). On my V4 cam, I’m unable to pinch-to-zoom the live view smoothly. When I try, the image feels like it’s trying to jump around erratically. When I double-tap, it does zoom in to max, but then it’s stuck there. I have to back out of the live view and then click on the cam again to get back to the live view zoomed back to normal.
This does not happen when viewing SD card playback. Zoom works normally there.
UPDATE: I tried again and now I cannot pinch-to-zoom at all (in either portrait or landscape orientation). But now, double-tap in portrait orientation does a max zoom in and double-tap again does a max zoom out. While zoomed in, I cannot slide to see other parts of the zoomed in view. It’s frozen where it is. In landscape orientation, a double-tap brings up the Recent Events list on the right and zooming is no longer possible.
Unable to duplicate any of your issues on either of my V4 cameras on either Android or iOS. Both pinch zoom and double tap zoom works perfectly in either portrait or landscape.
I had the same problem with the Beta app. The only solution was to reinstall the production version.
i have annual Cam Unlimited, Before upgrading to i could select Person detection under Events. Now it tells me to buy Cam Plus. I reverted to non beta and Person can be selected again.
Sorry if this is already mentioned in the comments. there were so many my thumbs cramped up trying to skim through them.
I find the cameras to load extremely slow in the favourites especially when outside of local WiFi. Group view in the version 2 was much faster.
The Device List in the widgets for Beta 3.0 app has been replaced by Favourite List. This can be handy depending on how you organize your devices especially if you want to organize your cameras into groups (for simultaneous live viewing) and still want to have access to individual cameras with one click on the widget.
The main con with this is that they removed Device and Device List completely from the widget so you have to add it to your Favourites for it to show and some may not like that.
I know there’s bugs and fixes to be made to the app, but today its been working great with 7 cams in favorites. I’ll know tomorrow if it continues when Internet traffic picks up. 2 V4s seem to be ok with update as well so far.
Where did the Rules History go?
Android App v3.0.0 b489
With the revamped Home page the Account → Rules section became the Automations section on the Home Page but it no longer contains Rules History. Was the Rules History removed from the App or is this a bug?
The Rules History is located here:
Go to the Home Screen, tap on the Automation Option and click on the house looking image. Below is an image of it.
This one got me at first too… It could use a more obvious label.
When they first released beta 3.0 I thought the favorites loaded fast. Since yesterday mine seem to load a lot slower and some don’t even load unless I click on the camera and go into it.
This is on local wifi and cellular.
Thanks.
It definitely needs a labe.l
