Wyze app 2.45 Beta Test 8/21/2023

Oh yeah, probably not that then.

I had to log back in but then i have had to log back in 2 more times since doing the update.

If you guys upgraded auth to Oauth, then the easiest api call to make was probably using the users default browser, however with the wide variance of browser configurations I would suspect it better to do the http request directly from the app which is a bit more coding but at least you have don’t run into situations where each user will have to modify a browser setting when an update breaks it one day.

Also on this version I’ve noticed the multicamera screen has issue where if you view a camera fullscreen panaramic and then return to the previous screen with all the camera group previews in portrait position the app tries to display the group sideways in shrunk panaramic form and only return to normal portrait mode after backing out of the camera group screen and back in.

I had the to log in too (Galaxy S22+), though I get an error when entering 2FA and ultimately can’t log in.

That worked, thank you!!!

Thank you! I was going crazy trying to figure it out.

Here we go again. I had to log back into the Android Beta version for the 3rd time since installing this version. The last time was 3 days ago. Three times in 6 days is more than I’ve needed to in the last 3 years!

Is this a bug or by design?

I know Wyze is looking into this. Interestingly, my Z Flip 5 does not prompt for logon, but my Razr Plus and Pixel does. Not sure what the difference is. May be use related, not sure.

I have 14 WYZE cams. When reviewing Events, I’m taken back up to the latestest ones when using the back button.

It used to go back to eventsvwhere I left off which is what i prefer. Anyone else notice this?

Just had to login again last night. That’s now twice I had to login now. Pixel 7 Pro.

yea, I have a Pixel Pro 7 as well. I had to logon with that as well. Wyze is working on correcting this.

Just for reference, this issue with login doesn’t seem to affect IOS at all.

I wish I had iOS to test, and that’s one of the few times you’ll hear me say that, I was logged out this morning on Android yet again  logged back in flawlessly though

Same. It seems many of us get logged out at the same time.

It’s kind of weird though because I still get notifications, so I’m not really logged out, but then when I open the app I still have to log in (using my Google passport).

So it seems it’s not that we’re logged out or I wouldn’t get notifications, but it requires a new authorization to actually open it.

I don’t think it is by design as I have not had to log back in after the initial install. Are you on Android or iOS and which style login are you using, regular username or the 3rd party login? Let me know and I will get this reported Monday morning.

I apologize for the inconvenience, this is a known issue that we are still looking into.

I have had the multiple log in issue as well. I am on Android and the first log in I made was with the regular username/password and authentication code; the next two log ins were done via the 3rd party Google log in.

I am on the Android beta version. My phone is a Samsung S23. I do not use a 3rd party login. When it prompted this morning, I got a Wyze splash screen with a “Get Started” box. I selected it and a Chrome browser screen opened and asked for my login email and password. There was an option to use Google or Apple.

When I clicked on the email box, my credentials are saved in Chrome and they pop up. I select them and go through the 2FA process.

I had to log back in after installing the update on my Samsung Galaxy S22 5G.
