Thank you for the reply. :+1: I just did some quick SD playback tests from the Events tab using a bunch of different cam types and got the same error as you on one Cam v3 event. I retried the same event and also other events from the same cam and now can no longer reproduce the error for an additional debug log. :face_with_diagonal_mouth: Is your issue related to a specific cam type and is the issue constant or sporadic?

Constant issue since purchase…Cam v3 pro. 3 cameras, all same issue.

Please tell me it has a fix for it detecting cars as people outside of the area it’s supposed to be designated to see things in. And the one where it keeps detecting the same car over and over again and it doesn’t matter if I have car detection on or off. The new flood light is doing the same but worse.

I’m on my third V3 and while the first two just stopped working all together after a few days and didn’t work right at all prior, I’m giving it a third shot. Giving the new flood light a shot but I’m about to switch back to the old one especially since I can’t even send bug reports in regard to what the camera was seeing because it doesn’t even let me know what the AI can see whenever I try to share the report. Usually it sees cars and calls them people on both devices outside of the area I designated it to report in on the floodlights case, and I’m going insane that the V3 keeps seeing my vehicle in the driveway every time it goes through its position routine and not only thinks drawings of people off in the distance outside of where it should be detecting are people and cars, but wind chimes are people and apparently my car deserves a new notification every time the camera pans over it even though it hasn’t moved and it’s driving me literally insane 24 hours a day…

The beta releases are not available in the app store, they are provided via the TestFlight app only, after you sign up for beta testing.

The App store will provide the production release of the app.

I’m that way with the first two cam pan v3s which just all together died after less than a week, on my third one of those and the AI seems to be getting dumber by the week. Same with the new flood light. And don’t get me started on the flood light because it is the buggiest thing I have ever dealt with in my entire life. Turn on the light through the app it immediately shuts off when I turn my screen off or exit the app, the light also shuts off with motion, I have it set to only detect people in a small area and it doesn’t detect people at all in that small area but it detects cars driving down the road way outside of the area as people. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg. This cam pan V3 that finally keeps its network connection and doesn’t randomly stop functioning all together needing reset like the first two until the first two didn’t even power on… it thinks wind chimes our vehicles and people and my vehicle that never moves… every time it pans to it… notification. To the point where, in the place that has the highest overdose rate in the world, I’m about to leave my door unlocked and since the cameras don’t matter without notifications (on since I was losing sleep with those), I would rather just risk whatever then deal with notifications and actually wait for the problems I put in bug reports for through the app daily to get it addressed let alone even a reply about it by email or anything. I think this company is trying to kill me sometimes out of complete and total honesty. My cam pan V2 won’t even let me take control of it anymore and literally has a mind of its own or is being controlled by somebody that is not me… I can reset it and it will follow people sometimes, sometimes it’ll set new coordinates to scroll through and directions to look at… I can mention topics that maybe considered conspiracy and it will suddenly look at me after not moving for days. I may need psychiatric assistance if the “AI” in these cameras gets any worse… and no, on the last thing resetting doesn’t help because the QR codes don’t work and it will never let me get past the part if the QR code does work where it connects to my network and becomes tethered to the app & my account again… The only thing that can convince me to get more of these things is something that had the abilities of the cam pan V3 that zooms optically and actually had the ability to have more features without the worst AI ever being involved regarding detection and the ability to get them on my NVR display since I spent like $700 for one of those to go with on my other cameras before I started getting these because the other cameras were too expensive. I just want the color night vision and regular night vision cameras side by side because regular night vision can see all sorts of paranormal activity and things that can’t be explained in the color doesn’t make sense because I see little things that look like stars and the ones with starlight chips that are a different brand, and I don’t understand the technology but it doesn’t pick up things that only show up on thermal and infrared and like sky anomalies…

Thank you for the info. I’ll concentrate on v3 Pro today, attempting to recreate issue and add additional debug logs to help developers get this fixed.

I think it is safe to say that the Pan V3 beta firmware has corrected this issue, " * Fixed a bug that prevented recognition and recording of Events"

I’ve been monitoring since installation which was release day and it has been the most solid it has ever been for events.

Updated the app on iPad. So far so good and kudos to Wyze for fixing the single camera view in landscape mode.

Any ETA for pan cam v3 firmware release? I need it ASAP but I don’t trust in beta firmwares reliability.

Yup im on Android and friendly faces is a blank screen for me also.

Wyze is aware of the issue and is working on correcting it. I am sure ( :crossed_fingers:) it will be fixed when the final public app is ready.

No current ETA as a lot of that depends on how the beta test goes.

My app is crashing when viewing camera groups. Here is the log right after the crash, 1102567. I also submitted feedback through TestFlight with my email associated to the feedback if that helps them in anyway.

Thank you very much for your response Jason, I understand that the public beta testing cycle is important to mitigate bugs, however I would suggest that bugs critical to a security camera (like the current bug that doesn’t allow events to be recorded) can be treated differently so we can get a faster solution. thanks again and keep the good work.

Since you mentioned TestFlight, I assume you mean on iOS.
I don’t use my $#@%*&^ iPhone very often for Wyze, but tried it on my iPhone 13 with iOS 16.5.1 and Wyze version 2.43.0 (9). Tried all eight camera groups, and all worked correctly. The groups vary from two to 10 camera and includes V2, V3, OG-Tele, original Pan, V3 Pan, and V3 Pro). One group is all V2 or V3 cameras that were shared by someone else…
On my Android (what I normally use), I have not noticed any problem with the app crashing.

Yeah, iOS. I have a group of 8 V3 Pro’s, and 2 Telephoto’s and it’s not everytime, but scrolling though them will cause the app to crash (for me)

Wyze Cam Pan v3 Beta Version: 4.50.4.4767

While viewing the SD Playback on Android 11, both current Production App and RC Beta App, if I switch to another app and then return to the Wyze App some time later, the PanV3 SD Playback UI will reload, however the video that is playing is Live Stream. Scrolling thru the SD Playback timeline does not load SD Playback Video. The video continues to play livestream regardless of the time selected.
