I will “chime in” and say that after the new app update, all notifications from Wyze were silenced. I would receive pop up notifications but no sounds, not the new chime or even default sounds from Android. Even changing to a new sound did not work. I ended up having to uninstall and reinstall the app then choose a default android sound in order to get it to work again. No settings on the phone were changed, and it was working fine until this app update.

I knew the pattern sounded really familiar to me! I’ve been trying so hard to place what that tune sounded like 
I just couldn’t remember, but it does have a similar pattern to that. That’s what I was trying to remember. Wyze certainly shouldn’t want their tone to make people keep thinking of the Woody Woodpecker mocking laugh everytime Wyze notifies them.
Honestly, I think it is a fairly pretty sound (the Wyze notes, not Woody’s original), but I think 5 notes are a little long for a non-phone-call notification sound, no matter how nice (or not) it sounds.

I have made many different tones to use with wyze and other apps, I’m sure some people would not like at all
Now that I have set woody woodpecker makes me giggle a little every time it goes off 
Me too (chuckle everytime the new Wyze tone makes me think of Woody Woodpecker…I didn’t actually change the tone on anything), I actually turned on the volume on my iOS that just sits in my office, just so I can crack a smile every few minutes 
I’m sure I’ll get over it soon enough, but for now, it gives me a chuckle.
I think the Woody laugh might be ok for ring tone though

I really don’t see that the tone that wyze picked out it’s terrible or anything, I left it on for 24 hours to see if it bothered me and it didn’t, I just have one that I recorded that I like better

Dares carry no guarantee of acceptance. I entertained the dare as proffered and ultimately decided that it’s ramifications weren’t in my best interest. Furthermore, nothing precluded @HDRock from accepting his own dare.
I will not be threatened with imitation Woody Woodpecker or any other B-list cartoon sounds.

I’m pretty happy that the Wyze sound is now different (and I’m on iOS!), but I understand most may want some flexibility added. That’s cool, but what I’m afraid of is all the complaints above may end up in Wyze deciding not to grant further wishlist items. 
Ever since I have had my air purifier units (6 months), they do not respond to the turn off rule. They mostly turn on based on the rule, but only if I turn the units off by the app (Turning off manually, they do not turn on by the rule). If they are already on (because they did not turn off based on the rule) they always beep when they are supposed to turn on.
