Wyze app 2.40 Beta Test 2/16/2022

I also deleted the beta app and was able to reload the Wyze production app after great effort. I’m waiting until Wyze comes up with a solution to the problem.

I reverted my iOS device to the Prod app for now. Easier to switch between beta and prod on it.

But kept my Android devices on Beta to test it out…

I’m always scared to leave the Beta program because Google and iOS have a limit of how many people can be enrolled in “Beta” and there have been times there are no openings left, and people who wanted to join Beta were unable to do so…so now I try my hardest NOT to unenroll from Beta on my main account. I think a loophole to this in Google is to add a secondary google account to your phone, and don’t enroll in Beta with this one. Then delete the Wyze app from your phone, log in to Google Play with the secondary google account, and then install the Wyze App for that account, which should install the production version (as long as all the data/cache was cleared so it can’t tell you recently had data for a new version on the phone), right?

Seems reasonable to me…haven’t really tried it though.

On iOS , you do not leave the Beta, just uninstall the App from Test Flight and install the Prod App from the App Store. if you want the Beta Again, simply update from Test Flight app.

I don’t want to leave beta from Android for the same issues you ran into.

On Android you shouldn’t have to leave the Beta either. It should be a Beta app uninstall and then an APK download and install locally rather than the Google Play Store install. Then, don’t update the app via Google Play until the next Beta release is confirmed.

Is there any way that I can sync my V3 Cameras to my Wyze Home Security System without going to Wyze Beta??? I was unable to use Beta, so I deleted it for the Wyze production app. I would love to integrate my V3 Camera Sirens with the Home Monitoring System Siren. Please let know if this is possible. We cannot hear the home security siren in our 2 storey home. Thank you

Do I need the Beta App to accomplish what I want to???
Is there any way that I can integrate the V3 siren to my home security system siren, so we can hear it???

I left on android once by accident and couldn’t get it back. I had to get the beta on APK mirror and if I remember correctly I was then back in it. I can’t say if it will work now though.

Yea, that is why I don’t leave the Beta on Android. Don’t want to risk it.

I believe that the Rules functionality that allows for the selection of the HMS as a Trigger for other devices actions, to include Wyze Cam Sirens, is only a function of the new Beta App. It was not previously available in the production app.

I was able to build those rules in the Beta app before the monitoring tab locked up. My HMS is currently set to Trigger 25 Cam Sirens, Two Wyze Plugs (Electric Sattelite Sirens), 3 Wyze Plugs (Floodlights), and 2 Wyze Bulb Groups.

I am still on the Beta App operating the HMS strictly on the keypads. I have not yet reverted to the production app to test how the rules react.

The rules are still present, however they are now showing the HMS Trigger as an “unknown device”. I also have several rules that trigger my Wyze Thermostat to Away\Home\Sleep based on the HMS Away\Home\Disarmed Mode. Those rules are still successfully triggering and executing despite the Beta App not being able to access the Monitoring Tab and the HMS showing as an Unknown Device.

I am hesitant to test the Siren Rules without an active Monitoring tab. I can’t place the system in test mode and can’t disarm with the app, so there is no way to isolate the alarm from Noonlight.

Thank you for posting this. I have followed your instructions and I still cannot access the HMS, It shows a blank page and Failed. I’m using a Samsung Android. It was working well yesterday morning and the blank page and Failed started last night. Thanks!

I expect you have the Beta App loaded. I have confirmation that it is related to that and is expected to be corrected with the next beta update, provided everything goes as planned.

The Prod App does not suffer from the HMS issue.
