No update on my end, I haven’t gotten any of the new firmware updates recently, headphones, WDB, WCO base. And have validated I am still on beta app and in the program, any pointers?

It might be a stupid question, but in the app, tap beta, then about, then edit. Is everything checked off?

Not a dumb question at all!! In fact… had this discussion with @spamoni earlier today.

I was not aware of this new “capability” and found it poking around. Checked all the boxes, cleared cache for good measure, and when I woke up this morning I was presented with the updates in the Bulk firmware page.

I must have missed the notification of the new page in the Beta App.

Thank you @joedel263

@R.Good yep, we discussed it. Interesting how things appear at times. This is why I enjoy doing the Beta testing, you never know what you will get.

BTW, Just noticed and installed the release candidate 2.18.15 on Android.

will see how this app goes.

So far it is looking great

Thanks for the comments here from @joedel263 for mentioning the new beta checkmarks, @R.Good for mentioning that this resolved it to get the new beta firmware, and @spamoni for telling this to R.Good in the first place to find out this was how to resolve it.

I was having the same problem, this VDB Beta firmware was not available to me despite being a “beta tester” only to find out through this thread that things changed to make me have to actively choose which devices are beta and which aren’t.

I think if you have the beta app, you should be enrolled in all of the beta firmware by default to avoid confusion…then if there is something you don’t want in beta, you actively deselect it…that would make much more sense. Obviously if someone enrolls into the beta app, then they most likely WANT beta firmware…if they don’t, they’ll be in the minority and they should be the ones deselecting devices. Or at least PROMPT us when we set up a new device if we want it in Beta or something. I had no idea I was missing some.

Woah… I am on the Beta and had forgotten about that aspect of “checking the boxes”. Thanks for the reminder! I luckily had everything checked.

Beta Friends powers activate!

Now we are all showing our age here… I love it

 Unfortunately Captain Planet was a favorite of my sister, who is 12 years my junior. Couldn’t find any black and white cartoons that applied… ahahaha. But Super Friends was my Jam. Meanwhile… at the Hall of Justice.

I totally agree with you. Things were so much simpler.

And since we Hijacked @Yichen thread…

Motion Detection Zone - Works as intended - I also feel like the Detection selection UI on the Doorbell is much more obvious than other versions - It’s clear to see what you are selecting in the Zone.

Watermark shows

Nothing to validate on DST for me

Day and night mode, I have noticed when walking outside in the dark the day and night mode can switch from night to day based on light from my porch light reflecting off a body, totally environmental as my porch light is in a semi enclosure directly above.

Prior to updated firmware I noticed no issues with the audio on and off but it performs as intended in my testing.

Is there a damn fix for this

In my case, I generally see that if I click on a notification right away, if you give it a few seconds after notification it usually opens. Its like the file is still writing to the server.

This is only happening with my doorbell not my v3 so there something wrong

@Yichen I have also noticed a weird constant refresh of the doorbell thumbnail view on the main app page. See example video.

In this video you see it happen when I open the app and after I refresh where the other camera thumbnails do not, just the doorbell.

However, if I just have the main page open on occasion the thumbnail will randomly blink multiple times on it’s own.
Hard to capture in video because of it’s randomness, but it generally blinks then flashes 3 or 4 times.

Running .233 and noticing Doorbell DNS hits on google.com every 30 seconds. Seems excessive.

New watermark works, however.

I have installed the doorbell. I have fond that the alert is a touch delayed. Is therr a setting that I can adjust to alert me quicker ? -Thanks,

I’ve received firmware update today but I don’t see any changes or detection zone. In fact, I don’t see any difference. I’ve tried rebooting the doorbell and clearing cache on app and also relogging in. Am I supposed to wait for the app update?
