Why won't live view work on Firefox?

Can someone tell me why I can’t get live view to work on Firefox? I hate using Chrome/Edge.

I will first start by saying “Here we go Steelers, Here we go!” In hopes that we stop hearing about MT’s wonderful non-losing seasons and it translates into some playoff wins that we seem to forget we haven’t had in many years,

I was just able to use FireFox to view my cameras in the Live View on my Desktop PC.
Couple of thoughts. Assuming your are using a Desktop/Laptop

  1. Make sure you are on the latest version of FireFox
  2. Clear your Web Cache

also having issues, but mainly centered around the fact that full screen doesn’t work. Just gets stuck on “connecting” forever. I have all my ad block stuff turned off for wyze websites, so it’s not that. I also checked autoplay settings and turned off any blocking there. Still not working. Everything else seems to work fine, just not full screen.

Also check if cookies are being deleted.

cookies are not being deleted, I don’t have that turned on in my settings. The experience in firefox is not good and needs to be fixed. It also asks me to 2fa long before the 90 days is up.

I also have this issue ever since switching to firefox. Always have consistent connection issues. Thinking about switching companies or something. Not worth paying for

same issue as the OP, so this is just never gonna be fixed i take it

For me, it is Opera that quit working on Portal.
No changes were made by me.
Ideas anyone?

For those who haven’t already voted, please note this:

I noted in a post in that topic that Firefox consistently chokes on the Cam OGs I try to stream there, so I appreciate that this current topic has been tagged cam-og, because I think camera model may be part of the issue.

Feel free to visit that topic, click or tap the Vote button above the initial post, and add your ideas and use cases in the comments!

Welcome to the Forum, @pr0c355!

Disabled any ad blockers or privacy extensions that might be interfering and check if hardware acceleration is enabled in Firefox settings, sometimes that helps.

It’s there. You have to go to Settings ➜ Performance and uncheck Use recommended performance settings to see it:

I don’t think fiddling with that or extensions is a solution, though. Disabling uBlock Origin and Privace Badger hasn’t helped in my experience, and now even Chrome users are reporting issues with Cam OG in Web View.

OK, I found it, but it doesn’t seem to affect me; Firefox works whether or not it is set.

Right, but you’re also not trying to use Cam OG in Web View, which is an important part of this particular topic, as it’s one of the tags.

Now that I think about it, the android tag needs to be replaced with web-view, and I don’t see @jamedlock83 following up since the initial post, so I’ll tag the Moderators.
