Hello - I have 2 version 4 cameras and 1 OG camera setup for webview and yesterday suddenly the OG cam stopped working. I’ve cleared my cache history in the browser and I have checked the mac address and IP from the phone app and what my Firewall says and they both match. I just keep getting web connection failed. The camera is working fine in the Wyze phone app. I’ve also tries switching to another OG by giving it a license and it too did not work. Just wondering if anyone has had anything like this and what you did to fix it.
It’s funny because I literally switched from Chrome to Firefox over the weekend. I just checked it out on Chrome and its working just fine for this Camera. Now my other two V4 camera’s are working just fine in both but the OG wont work in Firefox.
Edit: Just spent more time searching around and it looks like the OG camera is not liked by Firefox. Lots of people with this issue.

I dont understand why its not supported. Its not like its a new browser…I have not checked this but I would think Firefox is more used than Edge. Or at least in the top 3.
I don’t know the reasons, either, but you’re not alone in wanting full Firefox support, and I appreciate your taking the time to vote!
I don’t know how accurate they are, but Statcounter and Statista both seem to indicate that Firefox is in the #4 slot (behind Chrome, Safari, and Edge). I haven’t really tried this, but I would expect Opera to be compatible with Web View, as well, since it’s Chromium-based (like Chrome and Edge).
Yup, here we are again with the Web View not showing OG cams again. I have two, both are latest firmware, not showing up in web view on chrome. Also doesn’t show in Firefox, but chrome is my default browser, so that would be nice if it worked again.
Oof. I just checked in Chrome where I have a 4-up view with Cam v4 × 2, Cam OG × 1, and Cam OG Telephoto × 1. Everything loaded pretty quickly except for the standard Cam OG, which gives a “Connecting…” message until it times out with “Web Connection Failed”.
I don’t know why this is happening, but I’ll try to keep an eye on it.
Same here - Web Live View not working, and I also have an OG cam.
Web Live view has not been working since yesterday.
Events still work and can be viewed, but not Live.
I am using Edge and Chrome and same problem. Neither browser works.
yeah OG cam is not working in my chrome now and it was fine yesterday. Sick of this. Seems like the bigger Wyze gets the worse thier stuff works with other hardware/software.
FWIW, I’m intermittently able to stream some Cam OGs (not just the Telephoto) in Web View on Chrome, so maybe this is an ongoing glitch that they’re trying to resolve on the backend.
Same for me. Was working yesterday. I use this all day every day in Chrome, and this morning my 4 OG cams all fail to connect. “Web Connection Failed”.
I had a similar problem with a Wyze camera, and in my case it was a DNS concern. Have you tried restarting your router and testing with another browser? Sometimes temporarily disabling the firewall can also help identify the cause. If the problem persists even by changing OG, it could be a concern on the Wyze servers side. Let us know if you find a solution!
That seems to have been the case in this instance (including related posts from this same time frame). Just now I checked again and saw that I’m still able to view live streams from Cam OGs and others in Web View.
