Weird V3 Pro 2k streaming problem, but time of day related only

Well that’s the starlight sensor at work all right, but in terms of lumens hitting the lens I bet it’s no comparison to the amount of light during the cloudiest of days.

Well, you need to get those devices updated for a variety of reasons. I cannot troubleshoot tech that is years outdated.

That’s true, but I don’t really use Android much anyway, I’m more partial to Apple for phones and tablets. The old Samsung tablet on the wall, just preforms one single function and that’s to display a camera feed, and works perfectly for the V3 non pro. My Lenovo FHD tablet I do occasionally use is a pretty robust Octa-Core 2.3ghz and bought in Jan 2021 so it’s not very old. It’s just stuck on Android 10

Our phones are iPhone 13 which is plenty new and I have a couple iPads as well, but those aren’t as new.

So here’s something interesting. I just happened to check and for the first time, the Pro is currently streaming just fine in 2k on my iPhone. There have been no changes or updates to either the Wyze app, or IOS. It is cloudy today, but the ground is snow covered and cloudy never helped before. I wonder if so much white reduced the bitrate or something?

I’m guessing it helps the compression A LOT because there is a TON of stuff that is all the same color and looks very similar, so it’s a lot easier to compress more than normal and thus causes a lot less strain overall.

That would make sense. The only change between the whole past and today is snow. It’s funny how there seems to be a fine line between working and not. Hopefully that fine line will make the fix easier. Here’s the view by the way, looks nice and clear, I like it!

Oh good, thanks. I had checked earlier and didn’t see it, but it’s there now. It does mention connection fix, so will see.

What is the new version number?

Just installed update. No change. Still no 2k streaming on iOS.

3210…

Go into settings…select device info…should say new update

I believe the firmware update released for the V3Pro today is the same firmware that was in Beta recently (and didn’t resolve this for most people who were experiencing it).

My understanding is that the main issue at hand will require and app update before most people with this issue notice a significant difference.

I’ve been running the 3210 firmware version for a while and still experience the stuttering

Yes, I agree. Same firmware version as the Beta. Still have the same problem.
