Using a web browser(Chrome) to view events. Thumbnails are showing up but when clicking on events it just shows “Unable to load this event”. Even older clips aren’t working. However, everything on the phone app works just fine. Livestream on the browser works too.
Same here and it started last night. Can view events in the app, but not on web view, which shows only thumbnails.
Not 100% sure but that looks like a server issue. Not much we can do but wait it out.
Did you try and click on an event and see if it plays. The OP has an issue that the events don’t play but show thumbnails. I’m nowhere a computer to test it myself!
EDIT: I just got myself in front pf a computer and events in Web View both Safari and Chrome on Mac OS work as expected. Not sure why the OP has an issue. Clearly the Wyze servers are fine here in Canada.
I’ve tried resetting and restarting the cams. Clearing caches and confirming firmware is up to date. Ironically, we switched to a new ISP today, so I deleted and added each cam to update the WiFi credentials. The web view problem is still present. I can see thumbnails, but cannot view events. I get the same “unable to load this event” message. This is the second day for us…
Same issue here. I have various cameras at different locations in So Cal. Sounds like a Wyze server issue.
Same here. Can’t view events on Chrome on my MacBook Pro but can view cameras live. Can view both live and recorded events just fine on my iPhone. This is true whether I use my primary ISP for my laptop or if I tether to my cell phone. I am viewing cameras at two different houses with different networks & ISPs, problem’s the same for all cameras. This has been going on for a few days now. I tried clearing cache, closing and reopening Chrome, rebooting computer. Nothing helps.
P.S. I can view recorded events just fine using Safari browser, just not in Chrome, so I don’t think it’s an internet quality issue.
Tried using a VPN in Vancouver to access the clips. Getting the same results. Just showing thumbnails still can’t play any clips.
I played 30 different events on Web View and had one 22 second video that would not load on the web view but it does play from the events page on my iPhone app.
I find Web View hit and miss. It heavily relies on internet quality.
I have the same issues. Only the web portal shows this error. Viewing from my iphone works normally. I do not know if an update occured to cause this.
I tried the event viewing on both chrome and Arc browser.

it’s a server issue… I have 22 active cameras. event clips won’t play in web view. they play fine on the android app. tried on Chromebook and chrome browser on pc
I have the same problems also. My annual renewal ts coming up for Cam Plus. I guess this issue will solidify my decision not to renew.
Having the same issue. Always keep an eye on things at home while I’m at work (primarily mischievous kittens) and haven’t been able to load events since yesterday afternoon on Chrome browser (macbook pro). My android wyze app works fine
Wyze customer support is forwarding this incident to the “Services Team” as of 1/17/25 12:15 pm. Now we wait. I appreciate the community support. This way, I can avoid the “have you tried …”.
Seems like the videos are playing back now on my Chrome browser. Can you guys check on your end?
