Hey there. Started wearing my watch again, but none of the “motion detected” notifications are showing up. All the other notifications - texts, FB messenger, etc. - are just fine. Push notifications are on. Any thoughts? iPhone 13, app and all FW up-to-date.
I can’t say for sure if this is your issue, but I believe mine don’t show up on my watches because on my Android notification settings I have “Pop on screen” toggled off so they don’t block me watching movies or whatever on my phone, and this seems to have made them also stop showing up on my watches at the same time. You could check something like that.
This probably seems like a silly thing to ask, but do you actually have Wyze toggled on when you check the Notification screen in the Watch settings? You didn’t mention that specifically, so I don’t want to overlook the obvious or make a wrong assumption since you said that you’re receiving notifications from other apps on the phone.
Regarding @carverofchoice’s suggestion, I’ll say that I have that setting (Pop on screen) disabled (I’m also an Android user) but still receive Wyze app notificatons on my Watch 47, so I don’t think that’s it. Unfortunately, I don’t have any iOS-specific advice.
I got it working. It seems I had to turn on “Other Apps” under Notifications in the Watch settings. Once I did that, I started getting the “Motion detected…” notifications on my watch. Very odd. I’m not sure why that did it, but it did.
I wonder what specific application had to be enabled for that to work….
I always thought the Other Applications section was kind of a mess and needed to be alphabetized or have some other kind of sensible organization to make app selection easier, at least on Android. Maybe it’s different in iOS.
In any case, I’m glad you got it working. Thanks for letting us know!
