View In Google Home App

Thanks @SlabSlayer for checking. I had to kill my Google Home app and restart it for it to load the new interface. It’s nice to know it at least works on Android…

I even tried the Google home web interface but it didn’t even list the Wyze Cams I added in my Google home app. In the iOS app I do see the Wyze Cams but can’t see the live feeds.

The iOS app and the Android App (2.66.1.13) look vastly different unless there is some setting I need to enable to get the same toolbars. I don’t have any of the toolbar options at the bottom. No Favorites to be found anywhere or any of those other options.

I did get the unavailable on several cams initially and had to hit Retry. But once they loaded they seemed to connect faster. That is why I mentioned the slow load and high fail rate.

Your interface looks like the old one I had on the iOS before it updated to the preview, so it might take time for it to “kick in”.

The live feeds did try to load the first time I tried, which took forever and never loaded. Now when I click Retry it doesn’t even pretend to try. No spinning wheel, nothing. The button barely acknowledged my click.

On a side note, my Wyze plug is showing up as Light in the Google Home app even though I don’t think I ever set it up that way. I did name it “Guest Master Light” so perhaps it automatically categorized it under Lighting.

That might be the case. I had to recategorize several plugs t that were connected to lights. I also had to recategorize several of my plugs to oddball selections since Google is so conscientious about automating plugs and won’t let them be toggled by time when it is a plug or a light.

You nailed it. :dart: Just populated…

A message popped up on my phone from Wyze saying Google home now displays Wyze camera live stream. I clicked on the message and the Wyze app took me somewhere else so I didn’t see what needs doing.
I updated my Wyze app and Google home app and all my Wyze cameras say “camera unavailable, can’t reach camera, retry” when I click on a camera or something similar when I see the list of cameras in favorites.
Is there a setting or security setting needed to be adjusted? I see the window for each camera but all say. I’m running iOS 16.6.

I think live stream only works on Android, not iOS. I installed the public preview version of Google Home but still it doesn’t work.

I checked again after your post and now my V3s appear to be trying to load (though it never does), while my V2s and OG are simply unavailable. They used to all appear unavailable, so I guess it’s an “improvement”…

I’m having the same Issue. I’m using Android.

Did you update your Google Home to the public preview version? I guess that’s Google’s way of saying beta.

Who is able to get the camera view working in the Google Home App? If so, say what cameras you have working, say iOS or android, and say whether you are using regular Google app or beta/public preview?
Thanks

Goggle Home Android Public Preview Beta v. 3.5.1.4, Android 11

The load speed for cams, even while on the same WiFi network, makes it useless. I can open the Wyze App and cycle thru all 27 of my cams before one loads on the GH app.

Loading more than one cam, either in Favorites or in the Cameras list is catastrophic. The connections take forever to load, they blink in and out constantly, and the sound is on for EVERY cam simultaniously with no way to shut it off, even after closing the app. It takes a forced termination of the app process it get it to stop.

Loading cams individually takes forever. The only cam I have excessive failures with are the PanV3 cams, which is expected since they are the worst for network reception anyway. But, I can successfully load and stream most other cams (V3, V3Pro, OG, FLP, VDB)

So far none of my Wyze Cams are streaming in Google Home. Nestcams are fine.
My other Wyze devices work fine in Google Home as well. I submitted to Wyze support.

Honestly it works pretty well for me on Android 13, Google Home beta 3.7.1.4.

Three V3 cameras and a Video Doorbell Pro, all covered by Cam Plus.
