Update on Cam Pan v3

Updated my 3v pan cam yesterday, today it does not let me see live view, just never connects and I get -3005 code, camera still notifies me and I can watch any video off memory card but no live view, and yes it’s over 90 days old, always worked great til the update yesterday.

Restarted it, and deleted it and added again, unpluged it and reset it, still does the same, all help welcome..!!

What app and firmware versions are you running? You should be able to obtain the cam’s firmware version even though you can’t live stream.

Me too, last update screwed me..no tracking or live view but it records to sd card and moves fine, Wyze needs to fix this [Mod Edit], I’m so tired of incompetent people, Tapo has none of these problems..

@Seapup Same issue here! Everything works but the live view and sd recording.

It is recording cloud events, and I get notifications, but can’t access the live view or sd card.

Camera firmware: 4.50.15.4956

Which app version are you running?

I’m on the android beta app. 3.8.1 (718)

I have submitted a log as well: 2051194

That is the latest Android production app which for some odd reason overwrote the Android beta app 3.8.5.b716. We asked Wyze why this occurred and have not heard a reply yet. There appears to be some mismatch between your app version and your firmware version. Note that the notes for your firmware version require a 3.8.5.x app. It looks like one set was pushed before the automatic stopgap was in place and now some of us have a mismatch. Sorry to hear about this. I have 2 CPv3 cams out to lunch also, but fortunately have spares running. We’re going to have to wait for either another beta app update, a firmware update, flash CPv3 firmware back to production 4.50.15.4800 (this does work with your app version) or some patch on the server… and hopefully word from Wyze.

It’s fine, just mad that I spent an hour messing with these 2 cameras.

They also don’t recognize that an sd card is even installed lol

I use these inside to watch my cats when I’m not home, so no biggie in the grand scheme. I still get the cloud events.

I feel your pain.

Thank you for quickly providing app and cam firmware version info so could help get you some info. Your (and my) issues may not be the same as others reporting issues. It’s hard to tell with no version info.

Mine got fixed at some point this afternoon. I had uninstalled the app and when I went to reinstall, the beta version popped up.

Yea! :+1: Which beta version number? 3.8.5.b716?

You know, it said beta, but when I went into the app, it says the same thing as before version 3.8.1 (718)

But the cameras are now showing 4.50.15.4800.

So, now I don’t know. I didn’t update any firmware on the cameras. :woman_shrugging:

Did you flash these to an earlier version, or did this happen spontaneously? I’m just curious about what happened and trying to understand.

Same problem here as well

Is there a fix for this issue yet

I didn’t do anything. @Seapup said something about the beta app on the play store did something funky. I don’t have a way to flash anything (no computer). I uninstalled the wyze app overnight and reinstalled it from the play store this afternoon and it was working again. I don’t know why the firmware on the cameras changed, I didn’t update them or anything.

I’m as confused as everyone else. Don’t know why it happened, don’t know how I fixed it.

That’s goofy. I don’t recall seeing that before. I have recently seen a user request for a firmware roll-back feature. Weird.

Thanks for the additional information. I’m puzzled by this, too, but I’m glad it’s working for you again. :+1:
