That has been the trick I have used for the last year when the cameras don’t connect. I turn the wifi off on my phone and they almost always pop up like they should.
@WYZEJASONJ App Running Background maybe something to look into and check if somehow system getting hung up or conflicting with somethingelse?
Over 2 years later, and Wyze still has the WORST Wi-Fi connectivity of ANY devices I own.
Odd, I’ve found the ones I have (Panv3, OGs, and v4) all to be surprisingly good for a single stream IOT device with a tiny antenna. Granted I’ve tuned my wifi environment pretty extensively but even my phone often has trouble in spots where a couple of my “fringe” cams stay connected fine.
Are you comparing to other 2.4ghz devices that are at similar distances and/or outside (if your cams are outside anyway)?
I beg to differ. I have over 20 WYZE cams - a mixture of v4 OG and v3. WYZE gets blamed for things beyond their control. Is your router ISP supplied or did you purchase a known good brand?
I have all my cams on a separate IOT network.
Blaming WYZE for your WiFi issues is like blaming Ford for a flat tire.
Funny how my non-Wyze devices have no problem whatsoever.
Yes. Similar devices, similar distances. Poor results for WYZE only.
