I doubt you’ll be surprised to hear this but… @spamoni has agreed to be our newest Maven! What a wonderful way to start the new year. As with all of our @Mavens, you probably have seen them engaging with the community, answering questions, and generally being a rad dude.
Thanks for joining us, spamoni4! We’re happy to have you with us.
Definitely no surprise to find this. @spamoni is always posting in threads trying to help people trouble shoot and going out of his way to test things for people and figure out bugs and solutions. He’s particularly one of the most active people in the beta group and is always helping those Wyze employees to get the firmware as good as possible. Not to mention sharing solutions with all the other community members.
@spamoni you’ve been acting like a Maven FOREVER already and you’re one of my favorite people here. We just met each other here in the forums (thanks to @R.Good basically introducing us), and I loved how we were both always willing to run tests and figure things out and bounce ideas off each other for good use-cases.
I recall earlier this summer or fall, even @peepeep was basically campaigning that you are basically a maven with how helpful and knowledgeable you are and about what an AWESOME guy you are in the forums. I guess he’s gotten so used to seeing the type of people Wyze chooses as a Maven that he just knew you were probably next. It says a lot that it was that obvious to forum members that you were already acting like a maven with all your help and such. Keep it up man, you’re very appreciated in here.
I want to thank you all, I will do my best to represent Wyze and the Mavens throughout the forums. I believe in the products that Wyze provides as well as the idea of making technology affordable for everyone. I will strive to provide the level of support the community has come to expect from the Mods and Mavens.
Some interesting statistical evidence that @spamoni belongs as a Maven…over the last year, out of over 37,000 registered forum community users (not counting all those who never register), including all Employees, Mods, and Mavens, etc:
YOU’RE #1 FOR MOST REPLIES POSTED BY ANYONE (3.1K replies this year)
You’re #2 for most topics created (79), being beat by only the amazing @UserCustomerGwen (who has 164)
You’re 7th of most posts read (42.9K posts)
You’re 8th for most likes received by other people to your posts (2.6K)
You’re 9th for most likes given to other people by you (2.9K)
You’re 9th of most different topics read (5.8K topics)
AND You’ve visited the forums 365 days in a row & have the Devotee badge, which very few people earn.
Easy to see that you have clearly put in some good work and that the community has demonstrated that you are very valued by the majority of people here. Thanks buddy, keep up the good work!
Yeah, that would be me… Besides being very loquacious in general, during one of the AMA posts I did I found out that the forum has a single post character limit of 32,000 characters! I had to split one of my posts into 2 posts to fit everything into the thread.
