Would you be willing to give me the mac addresses of those 2 cams so I could have the engineers look into it?
@WyzeJasonJ Maybe he just needs to reboot the router? Itās worked for me nearly every single time after and outage. If thatās not what it is please disregard lol
I would hope that is all it is, the engineers have just asked for some mac addresses to look into it and see if there is another issue.
I have tried resetting both the modem and router many times. Everything else works just fine. Im wondering if its just an issue with the camera itself.
Sorry for the late response. I would not mind giving the mac addresses. Can ask i what that would allow them to do or to look at before i give them out?
I wholeheartedly agree-this would be one push notification that REALLY needs to happen.
I shouldnāt have to come check the forums when they know thereās a system-wide issue.
I love Wyze in general, but if it crashes too much, and I donāt know itās a server issue, Iām likely to jump ship.
Iām much more patient if I know they know, and are working on it.
Hey Edward
Hereās a stopgap until they devise another method (or as a backup even after they do!)
As of Tuesday 2/20/24:
Working
1 Pan V1
3 Pan V3
1 Cam OG
1 Cam Outdoor V2
1 Cam Outdoor V1
1 Pan V2
1 Doorbell V1
Not Working
7 Cam V3
1 Pan V2
1 Cam V2
I can reboot all of the non-working plus the router.
All the not -working come online - then steam video for 10-20 seconds.
Then the video stops and within a minute go off-line again.
Is this a problem with Cam V2,V3 and Pan V2 ?
This is pretty much the same behavior we have seen. We didnāt reset our enterprise router/switches because that should never be a requirement to fix an issue with a device. I will go one step further and say that some of the cams are shared across accounts and one person can view them fine while another cannot. For the person that cannot view the cams, the app data on the mobile device can be completely cleared and the cams will come back for a brief time but then drop again. All of this while they are on the same WiFi network as the cams.
They can look at data in the cloud, they would not have access to any images or video they are just able to find the data to see why it isnāt connecting. I apologize for not having a great technical answer and can get one if you would like but I can say it will not expose any personal data to them.
However we may not need it now, if you could try logging out of the app and logging back in to see if it is fixed, please try that.
That was a good enough answer for me lol. I also followed your instructions. I logged out. Cleared the cache and storage. Power cycled the phone. Logged back in. I can view some events but not others. Live stream worked on 1 camera once out of 5 times and then gave error code 7. The others give error 7 no matter what. Stopped getting any recordings now. I have logged out and uninstalled and reinstalled. Logged back in. Got events but no live stream. And most events say failed to up load to the cloud. Few play.
Is this issue fully resolved ?
Since this issue surfaced, v2 and v3 are struggling with āloading live stream ā¦ā message.
They work for a bit after cam restart from app or power is reset, and back to same āloading ā¦ā¦ ā issue. Wifi router was rebooted as well with full modem reboot
Events are being recorded and accessible but live stream doesnāt work and this impacts sd card playback.
2 OGās are working without any issue on same wifi
At 2PM EST on 2/21/24 I rebooted:
Not Working 7 Cam V3, 1 Pan V2 and 1 Cam V2 plus the wi-fi router
Within 5 minutes all devices were on line and generating events.
So for a full 5 hours now all are working in a normal mode.
Hoping that it just keeps working.
In NYC and my cameras are either offline or not loading in Florida once again. Piece of . When I get there, all my cameras going in garbage. Any recommendations??
Remotely access your wi-fi router and reboot it. Or wait for a Florida power outage to reboot cameras + router, This time of year you should be in Florida not NY!
and on my way to Lake Placid to Ski But your right
You know you are addicted to Wyze if you find yourself in the lodge drinking a Hot Toddy checking your cameras. Have a great time!
Addicted? Not quite. I have a 6 hour drive and actually the passenger for once. Almost there. Enjoy your day
The outage itself is resolved, most devices have also recovered. We are just trying to help everyone get the devices that did not come back online back online. Logging completely out of the app and logging back in has worked for many.
Issue was resolved with the v3 proās by logging out of the application and back in, Iām assuming the V3 proās handle authentication a bit differently and whatever they were resetting on the backend of events likely crippled the live view -maybe a session key or something to that effect.
