I have the battery cam pro and whenever I try to recover a video from the microSD card, it stated that the “video is unavailable at this time”. Anyone else have this problem? On rare occasion it will show a video but this function doesn’t work as I expected. Many of the options I try to select redirects me to purchasing space on WYZE’s cloud. I wanted the local recording option to avoid this. Frankly had I known this was such a problem, I would have purchased another product. Trying to contact support only gets me to the online robot. So far I’m a little frustrated with this product.
I just read someone else’s post that the light only stays on for a short time when it detects motion. I decided to test mine and sure enough after only a few seconds it goes off. Poor design! I created a rule to have it stay on for one minute but it should stay on until it no longer detects motion. Becoming increasingly frustrated with this product!
I believe this partially depends on whether someone has cam plus and what their recording settings are. If you set the BCPro to have no cooldown then the light should stay on as long as it is detecting motion like most of the cameras do. If you don’t have cam plus or you set it to have a cooldown then the light will certainly go off when it is no longer uploading a motion event.
Unfortunately, you have to have cam plus to turn off cooldown. This is something that certainly wasn’t clear when I bought the product. One reason I bought this camera was because I didn’t want to subscribe to a monthly service. Had they clarified that you need to subscribe to benefit from most of the features, I wouldn’t have bought it. No saving videos to the card which was advertised and minimal benefit from the spotlight are two major disappointments of this product. If I could return it, I would. May buy a replacement product anyway.
mine stops recording to sd card and/or goes offline.
when records, i have to use ios app to browse playback, becuse android app on samsung tab s8 shows only playback slider but never retrieves recording
So if I understand you correctly, you have no issues reviewing videos on the SD card using the IOS App ? Does that mean my issue is primarily related to the fact I am using an Android ? Hopefully the techs will get this issue resolved
