Robot vacuum wheels have permanently stained my hardwood floors

I was charged $800 from my last apartment for the stains on the carpet. Tried wd40, dawn, everything… heard nothing from Wyze.

Small Claims court will start to wake Wyze (CCP) up. It’s a shame as the history also with Wyze 44mm V1 watch.

I’m still wondering the same. Permanent stains on hardwoods and carpeting. BUT, I love my vac and only use it under watchful eye…which kind of takes the purpose of robotic away. I have put an office chair plastic floor cover under the docking area (looks stupid but works) and I watch it in areas where it might get caught up. That’s where I’ve seen most of the carpet staining.

Submit a service log and Wyze will send you a new vac (may need warranty). I have been looking for stains with my new one in a hidden location. No stains yet, after two months.
It’s a waste of electronics, but you may be able to recycle the old one. Wyze did not want it back.

You would think Wyze would want the Old Vac back to find out why this is happening? We know it’s the Rubber Wheels. What a Nice Eco Friendly company.

Wyze did request my 2 vacs back.

If you cover the floor with Saran Wrap it won’t get stained…

Wyze should hookup with WeatherTech to include a Floor-mat. Seems V2 has fixed V1 (bad Rubber wheels) and you think Wyze would put out a Press Statement???

How can v2 be identified from v1?

Let Wyze answer this…From the many posting…Later models are not leaving marks. Wyze should put out a Tech Bulletin to us consumers about THERE defective Rubber Tires.

I also have black marks from the wheel tread that I cannot remove on my finished wood floor. Now I thrown money away on a useless vacuum and have a damaged floor.

No word from Wyze…Shame.

just checking in on my thread about my ruined floors. Hey @WyzeHongfei or @WyzeJimmy or anyone… can you just give me some money to fix the floors you ruined with your bad product or what? Maybe at the very least, you can share the progress you’ve made with the “investigation” into what the hell caused this

Small Claims Court will get their attention. No one here can Defend the actions of Wyze related to “Robo Vacuum” staining issue. Last update was Wyze Seattle was reaching out to local users. Maybe Jason21271 -Form Mod can shed some light with a Support Manager as lack of information is elusive.

Same thing has happened to my floors! I’m not happy about it either. Have you found any solution?

It will be a Cold Day in Hell that Wyze will confess to this atrocity.

WOW - I am glad I bumped into this thread such that I can warn every single person I’ve ever recommended a WYZE cam to. Stick to the v3 cams and forget the rest will be my advice when discussing WYZE. Although, now that I know how they handle security vulnerabilities, that too comes with a disclosure.

Wyze will EOL the the product and come out with V??. Thats how it works. Happy Easter.

I’ve just had a conversation with Support and the problem is still not fixed.

Is anyone else having issues with their robot vac leaving black scuff marks on carpet when it’s trying to switch levels from one carpet to another or gets hung up on an item like the base of a cat tree or a music stand?

I seem to be cleaning black marks off my carpet daily as these issues occur and they aren’t coming up very well. I love the vac however don’t appreciate black spots/marks or lines on my carpet.
