Probably the best troubleshooting step is to simply replace a few of these units, see if the problem goes away and at the same time, you have “defective” units which can be tested locally at mothership.
My robot vacuum sits underneath a bench so I had not checked until I ran across the thread. I also had the marks on the floor but thankfully the marks came right off with a shot of WD40 and a paper towel. The floor is ceramic tile. The marks are definitely a residue from the wheels and the closest thing I can think of to compare them to is the scuffs that shoes can leave on a gym floor (if they don’t have non-marking soles). I had originally tried to place my vacuum on carpet but had the same alignment issue with the charging station others have mentioned and settled on its current location. It has been there since the vacuum was placed in service.
I live in Seattle. I moved from the apartment complex that it damaged but I still have the vacuum in my new place. It sits in its own mat now.
Did you call Wyze support to about this? Also please follow-up with the Link above and report to Consumer Product Safety Commission. Wyze is Silent and with the dozens of Reported cases your another victim.
Not completely, they just asked for people that are in the Seattle area so they can work with them to further investigate.

To be fair, we have no idea how many units wyze sold. What is it in the hundreds of thousands or millions? This will be only a small percentage.
That’s why more people are reporting this as the word gets out…Searching on “Wyze robot vacuum staining floors, rugs”. And more likely Thousands…Wyze does not have the resources for Hundreds of Thousands or Millions. The Truth is Out There

Why in the world do you think a scuff mark is something that needs to be reported to a Federal Safety Commission? 
He also reports to the NTSB for the rattles he hears in his car.
TBF, this is not a scuff mark on my hardwood. This is a chemical stain, or some sort of chemical burn. There is nothing short of sanding down the wood and refinishing it, to great expense, that will fix this problem.
Since I own a Roomba 870 I have no skin in the game either. You are [Mod Edit] crying about something you don’t own. Purchase one and file a lawsuit in your name or stop giving [Mod Edit] advice.
