Well, now that my battery is a year old, it’s crapped out again. Time for another one I guess.
on the one hand that sucks, on the other hand $30 is a whole lot cheaper than a new vacuum.
Still, if I have to do it every year, it adds up. The original battery in my other vac has been working fine. Go figure.

It’s strange that it’s already giving you problems. You may have a bad cell in the pack. You could build your own with high quality batteries. I built a pack and it’s been going strong for about 3 years now. My vac runs Mon-Fri coving about 750 square ft/day.
I may try that. In the meantime I ordered the one from the post a couple posts up.

Any of the Samsung or Hohm batteries are quality. Here is a 3000 mAh Samsung I have used. Samsung 30Q 18650 3000mAh 15A Battery

I’m here, of course, because my vacuum’s battery is dying and am looking for a high quality replacement.
Has this performed well for you since you got it?
yes and no
caveat this vacuum is upstairs and I rarely see it so I’m not 100% sure what is happening
the vacuum rarely makes it back to the charging station but I’m not sure if that’s the battery or my setup. that being said, I’m definitely hearing it running for at least 30 minutes so it’s not a total fail but the vacuum is rarely successfully finishing the job. Not sure why really I just put it back and let it try again tomorrow.
I’ve found out over the years…that once the battery starts to go,..I split my house in 2 parts, this way there in an hour for it to charge up again to finish. When it can no longer complete the 2nd part of the house it’s time for a new battery.
Usually a battery will last 6-8 months before I have to do this, then it will last maybe another 12-18 months. So basically you will buy a new battery between the 2-4 year mark if you run the vacuum every day like me.
I have two vacs. One is on its third battery, and I just replaced the other’s today. Vacs are 5 years old, the first one started failing at 2 years. Part of that may have been a bad charger.
I’ve had my wyze robot vacuum now for almost 2 years now. About 4 months ago the battery started to die so I searched and found several replacements. After looking into each one I selected what I though was a good one, I was wrong as it’s already dying only 4 months after getting it.
So now I’m looking for a replacement that can last a year or more. I have not been able to find an OEM battery so it’s looks like all I have are the third party ones, but I’m not sure what ones I can trust.
Any one on here have experience with a good battery or know where I can get one that will last?

Batteries are hard to find. It seems that no matter which one you choose after a few months they can’t complete the job anymore. Over the years I’ve noticed once that happens I split my house into 2 parts and that will help the battery last around another 2 years.
I’m running on 15 months with this bad boy - I’m not asking it to cover more than 300 sf in any one cleaning though.
