Robot Vacuum Battery Replacement

The link you provide here is now pointing to a 6200mAh CityYork battery.

I have just purchased, will receive by 1/14/25. Will let everyone know how it works out.

The 1st battery lasted 8 months, I would suggested you get the 2 year warranty.
The new battery I ordered was a different brand from a different seller, yet they sent the exact same battery as above. So I’ll have to wait & see.

Without opening the battery pack to test the capacity of the 18650 batteries, it is anyone’s guess what the true mAh rating of the battery pack is. Most online stores like AliExpress, Banggood, and Wish pull an arbitrary number out of the air. Some have used and relabeled 18650 batteries inside.

To tell on myself, I saw some 9900 mAh batteries on Amazon. There is no such thing. The highest mAh 18650 cell currently available is 3500 mAh. Knowing this, I ordered a box of ten. When they arrived I tested every one of them. They all came in between 1800 mAh and 2000 mAh, confirming my suspicions. After chatting with Amazon, they refunded my purchase price. I also knew they didn’t want them back because lithium. So now I have 10 18650 cells for free. :sunglasses::shushing_face:

I received the New Battery today and installed it. It came with a 78% charge, so I am letting it charge up
for now. It is up to 93% now. Will let you know how it does, when I start vacuuming the house.

Just ran the vacuum for the first time with the new battery. It completed three room with 22% charge left. So I am not impressed with this batter at all.
I seem to remember when I first started using this vacuum just over a year ago. That I could do all three of these room and have a over 40% remaining.
It is still a little better then the battery I just replaced. As it could not finish the three rooms anymore.

I looked at my history and the distance and the time are pretty much the same.
Back then it says I consumed only 51%. another one shows I only consumed 47% that was back in 12/2023…10/20/2024 shows 83% Consumed.

I just purchased a Wyze Robot vacuum for my daughter as I love the one that I have. Hers of course is working perfectly. Anyone out there have a better experience with a new battery???

Mine is doing better than that. Like new now. I did make sure to run it down then let it recharge all the way. I bought the Cityyork.

As for the bumping issue, I believe I have that fixed. Needed new charger.

To be fare. The first time I ran it with the new batter, I only had 22% charge left. The second time it went up to 30% remaining and the third time it went up to 38% after doing the same three rooms. So, better but still not as good as the original battery that was only a 3200mAh battery. It wold have over 45% to 51% left over after doing the same three rooms.

Agree on making sure to run it all the way down after the first charge when replacing the battery.

Did you get a chance to check the voltage on the bad charger?

Nope. I did notice that one of the charge bars wasn’t coming out all the way and when I took it apart I found a wire interfering with the spring. Tried to fix that but don’t know if it was the issue.
