Wyze Lock purpose

I have questions about the wyze lock that I can’t seem to find on the website. I can only imagine that the lock was invented for the sole purpose of unlocking your door so you don’t have to carry a key? I started to look into it because I originally thought that it had some kind of security feature but it seems like it is more for convenience use.

Does V3 Cam record sound

Does the V3 cam record sounds? I have the app set to record when it senses both motion and sound. During playback of the sound detections, I don’t hear anything. I just see what ever was in view at the time the camera sensed the sound.
