It looks like those who were sure from this survey that Wyze was simply probing whether or not there was enough of a market here for a gun safe were right. A Reddit User found a copy of Wyze’s upcoming gun safe in the App Assets.
I was pretty sure that’s why they were asking. Interesting that it’s already been added to the App Assets files.

From experiences with previous pre-sales, I’ll wait until it’s available to the masses. My bedside gun safe could use an upgrade though.

Just when you need your gun for protection of life, the software glitches and you need to reboot or even worse re-flash from a bad software update.
Would NOT buy their HMS for security either, I will keep my UL listed Alarm panel with UL monitoring for $18/ month. Some things are too serious for a toy version of a product.
They need to send one to The Lockpicking Lawyer. He loves to find weaknesses in locks.
If he can’t crack it, it may be OK.
If he CAN crack it, it might be easy enough to get into in an emergency.

If they use a solenoid which is likely, the slam attack will likely work, Just need to know how solenoid is mounted to determine which side to slam while pulling on door/lid.
