Rain gutter mount for OG or V$

Hello. I have many Wyze cameras from V2 on up. I have been searching for a rain gutter mount or magnetic mount that will actually fit the OG or V2. I have ordered and returned several from Amazon (that claimed they fit Wyze but did not). The problem is both of these cameras have a tiny (metric?) screw mount hole and most of the camera mounts I have ordered have a 1/4" screw mount. I hve found a work around for the OG camera (necessitated buying a case that clips on it and THAT case has a 1/4" screw mount.

Anyway, anyone know IF there are camera mounts (rain gutter or otherwise) that fit the OG &/or V4 cameras?

TY!

I was recently thinking of getting some gutter mounts as well, but I haven’t really looked around yet, and I was mostly considering them for some of the newer cams like the V4, BCPro, or Pan Cam. Then Spamoni mentioned to me that he had some good success with ziptying cameras to his gutter, so I might try that out.

But if anyone cares to share gutter mounts for any Wyze cams in here, I’m interested in all of the above.

I may have to resort to trying the zip tie method!

A bit on the lighter side.

I’m a big zip tie fan. There actually is a following for zip ties, what’s best, how long they last etc, etc. Followers of “Roadkill” will remember the episodes on how to use them on their autos.

Apparently there is a difference between black and white zip ties. Black is preferred as it stands up better to UV and temp extremes.

Those mounting on a gutter may want to think about how long the ties will last. My personal experience is black lasts 5-10 years in direct sunlight. Figure this into your maintenance schedule. :sunglasses:
