Floodlight v2 extra USB port?

Does the newly announced v2 have an extra USB port for a second cam like the v1 has? Thanks

[Mod Note]: Your topic was merged to this Wyze News announcement topic for better visibility.

No, but it has a 160° field of view and 270° PIR coverage.

@Grayswandir

No, the extra USB was removed from this version.

Can you turn the lights on manually and have them stay on? I could replace a few outdoor floodlights with this if I could operate it like a normal light. I have version 1 and it isn’t possible (as far as I am aware).

So, is the color temperature still a cool white? Or does it have the ability to be adjusted to a soft white?

Significant cost savings for those who don’t need the additional Pro features.

Still cool white. No warm color.

Color Temp is 5000k and not adjustable.

It is crazy how some recent Wyze devices are getting CHEAPER than their predecessors while having improvements, despite the huge inflation and global logistics issues since the previous models came out, and knowing Wyze has still been operating at such low-profit margins that, as the founders said recently, they haven’t technically been profitable yet, but are on the right path to sustainability.

This new Floodlight is such an affordable 2K camera at this launch price that it’d almost be worth getting them as an indoor camera that doubles as a night light for big public rooms…though that might look a little weird. :rofl:

That’s really unfortunate. I can’t stand 5000k. Please offer some floodlights with a 2500-3000k color or make the temp adjustable. I had to cancel my order once I discovered they were in cool white 5000k. Yuck

Thats a shame.

@otto @Resist
I let them know that users ask for an adjustable color temp. You two were not the only ones who expressed disappointment in that unless you two were the same ones in every community lol.

If their light products don’t have temperature adjustability, then I’m not interested in it. I just can’t stand cool white LED lights, it bothers my eyes. Which is great for intruders but not so much when I need outside lighting. Hated it when that’s all that was on the market in the early years and I didn’t buy them until they were a warmer light (and dimmable).

Can the PIR be used to detect and record motion events?

Full Stop. Deal Breaker.

Need the USB port to power cam…don’t have electric or means for that, and based on experience USB cables, water, cough capillary action cough… not a good idea.

That is a mistake, a huge one in my view. Oh well.

Sighhh…

It looks like Canadians are once again getting taken to the cleaners. A very generous application of the exchange rate should put this at $80 CAD at the most. It appears that the exchange rate wasn’t applied to the launch discount of $30 US.

Thanks, but no, thanks. No sale.

Yeah I was just about to purchase before I realized this. I can’t replace my v1 floodlight then. Big miss.
