I am reposting because Wyze has censored this.
I have been a customer since 2019.
Has anyone faced this issue?!
2/17/24 ( Saturday) I purchased 4 more cameras.
The app prompt for cam plus annual only. Which was added to each of the 4 cameras. The prompt came up “Wyze will refund the difference.” In good faith all 4 cameras were added on to the service. I contacted Wyze by phone and email Alfred told me that I would get an email in 24-48hours. I got an email Wyze Ticket 3685731. Tanvin responded, provided me information on the perks of unlimited— ignoring the reason I contacted. I asked again and was told No refunds on cancelled subscriptions.
I literally forked out 279.69 USD for 4 cameras to have the service. The original was already linked to the service.
Additionally, Sunday I bought 2 more cameras 1 camera on the trial, 1 in box, 1 on order with Wyze that had shipped and 1 extra one.
I am highly considering returning what I have because I cannot see paying that amount for 4 cameras for 12-sec videos.
This was originally posted and somehow taken down I am reposting it. I want to see if anyone has experienced this.
Hi,
I’ve had a few incidents not exactly like yours, but with special offers that weren’t so special because they were confusing and I wind up paying more than was advertised. Another recent incident is one of my three cameras went on the fritz after doing a firmware update. The update corrupted the files that were already in the cam. I tried everything to get the SETUP to get to work, but nothing worked. So, I went to the WYZE forum for help. Someone there answered my question and told me that I would have to get micro SD card to be able to do a manual flash and reinstall the firmware file back into the cam. I was told that I would to buy Micro SD card and a card reader. WYZE should have different way of doing this. I think WYZE is full of tricks that benefit them and not the customer. If I were you I would return all the cameras and get your money back and go with a different brand. There are many, many brands of cams out there. Good luck!
Not sure if you have experienced this. I have been using Wyze since 2019. Granted there have been certain ups and downs but usually it’s pretty good.
I was running 1 cam with Cam Plus and then ended up having to purchase 4 more cams (2/17/24 Saturday). Adding devices were plain and simple but it would prompt Add Camplus. Well I did for 4 camera and then the Prompt “Wyze will refund the difference.” This prompt came in 4 times. Never did it say nor offer unlimited. I got charged back to back $39.99, $59.99, $79.99, and then $99.99. A total of 279.69 USD for 5 cameras. In good faith, I continued add each service. I Calle Wyze today (2/19/24) Alfred said I would get a follow up email
within 24-48hrs. I receive and email from Tanvi sharing with me the perks of Camplus unlimited. I once again wrote explaining the prompt that occurred and got “ Wyze does not reimburse on canceled subscriptions.”
I find this very concerning that the app: 1) does not offer the options to elect only goes to straight yearly, 2) promises a reimbursement for the difference, and 3) customer service then states that’s not going to happen.
I’m out 279.96 for 5… actually 4 cameras since I was already on an active subscription on the 1st one.
I just want to know if anyone has had that experience? Or was this just bad luck.
To boot I have two more cameras in box , 1 active order and 1 camera on trial. I and deeply now considering cancelling and returning due to this .
Will you post your Support ticket number please? I’d like to pass this on to someone I know in charge of subscriptions. From my understanding, the most you should realistically ever have to pay for cam plus is $99/yr.
