Playback does not work from the event view

Yes. I am familiar. I thought we were focusing on V3 cams specifically.

I’ve installed other WYZE cameras in the past 2 months that work fine. Even the pan cam v3 works.

Were any regular v3 cameras setup in the last 2 months? My observation is the Events Playback button problem is mainly affecting recently setup v3 cameras.

My (3) V3 Wyze Cams were purchased and set up within the last two weeks.

I setup 2 V3’s this month neither will play back events from the SD card. I have 6 older V3 cams that work just fine. I am subscribed to Cam Plus.

Update:
I live chatted with WYZE support yesterday, (they actually responded in the holiday, (but aren’t they located in China?) I also forwarded 5 logs for each of my five v3s. After complaining about the lack of previous response on this issue I was contacted via email by a service tech who said they didn’t have a way to view the logs and he was forwarding them to the engineers. I told the live chat person that I thought they were just using stall tactics.
Let’s keep after them on this topic, don’t let this topic close until it is resolved to our satisfaction.

We could call for a general strike but I was only able to get one to commit (weakly) last year and I doubt much has changed in that respect. :smile:

It doesn’t make sense.

I have been lucky as well while some friends have not.

I doubt that it is luck. It seems to be the chance you take with that cam you are given. Fate?

I just think it’s buggy hardware that no one knows how to fix.

We just got the pan v3 today. We are having the same issue.

My other v1, v2, and v3s are not experiencing this.

Same issue here.

When viewing an event video on a Cam Pan v3, clicking the icon to go directly to the SD video results in this message:

If I back out of the event video, go to ā€œHomeā€ in the app, select the camera, and select SD card video from live camera view I can access the SD card video fine.

This happens on all of my five (5) Cam Pan v3 cameras, but none of my three (3) Cam Pan v1 cameras. I can’t check the Cam Pan v2 because I had given it to a friend a while back and don’t have one.

Yes, I’ve restarted all my cameras, and uninstalled/reinstalled the app, blah, blah, blah.

I’ve reseated and reformated (in the camera) all my SD cards. They are all Sandisk 256GB High Endurance cards.

Same behavior on an Android 7 tablet, Android 13 tablet, and Android 13 phone.

I suspect this began after the last firmware updates on my Cam Pan v3s. Or maybe the last App update, as I did both around the same timeframe.

I’m on the Cam Unlimited subscription plan.

I’m on the most current firmware and app version.

Latest App version: 2.50.6.469
Latest Firmware: 4.50.4.9222

I’m at a loss for why the silence from WYZE. Not as much as an acknowledgement. Some response, even a small one would be helpful.

I’ve stated my opinion about this bug multiple times and I repeat; this is an easy bug fix, why?

Because they have the piece of code that’s already working. That’s the SD card access from the camera’s live view.

And more importantly, if they have a source code management software in place (git or similar), it’s easy to backtrack in time to see which particular code change broke it.

Having the same issue. Can’t playback SD from Events page. Says I don’t have an SD Card installed, but I can playback from Live View. It’s frustrating to have to scroll all the way back to the specific time of the event, especially if it’s not a super recent event.
