Plans for Hubitat support?

PLEASE Integrate with Hubitat … you would sell more cameras !!!

This doesn’t sound like “priority” to me…

The context is key. What they have said is that instead of doing a separate integration for every other individual platform, which would cost a ton of money and other resources for relatively little return, what they are doing instead is working to make their system Matter compliant, and from that, allow any other company or group to make their system compatible with Wyze. This methodology will scale a lot better and be much more effective/efficient.

So, when I said they are giving priority to Matter, I was not saying that it is the number one most important thing they will consider for the company that all else depends on. That is absolutely not the case. I was speaking solely in the context of inter-operability between platforms. Instead of giving Homekit a priority and SmartThings, Hubitat, Home Assistant, and a hundred other individual platforms separately, they are moving all of those to “Probably Not” and “Maybe Later” in the context of creating a special, singular integration specifically and solely for that ecosystem. Wyze isn’t going to do that anytime soon, at least not before they do Matter, which gets the number priority in this category of idea (inter-platform operability), --other than maintaining Google, Alexa, and IFTTT integrations which are easy and already there. Matter gets priority over the category of interoperability efforts now…which is not to say that the category of interoperability efforts is the number 1 priority over EVERYTHING. That is not the case. I hope that clarifies.

But again, I do not work for, speak for, nor represent Wyze in any official capacity. I am simply relaying my personal understanding of what I have read from public statements given by other employees in these other ecosystem threads, AMA’s, firesides, webinars, etc. where this question is constantly asked of Wyze.

ok

Update: OPINION: Matter is a mess
